Obama Administration Caught Red Handed Torturing Americans

On Tuesday morning, a lawyer for Gulet Mohamed, an American teenager who's been detained in Kuwait for almost a month, sued the Obama administration for blocking his client's repatriation to the US. The allegation at the center of the suit, which names as defendants the heads of the Justice Department, the FBI, and the federal Terrorist Screening Center, is simple: By placing Mohamed on the no-fly list based on nothing but suspicion and refusing to allow Kuwaiti officials to deport him, the US government is denying Mohamed the most basic right of American citizenship—the right to actually reside in the US.

In response, the US government may claim that Mohamed's plight is not its responsibility. On December 20, according to the lawsuit, Mohamed was handcuffed, blindfolded, and taken away by "two men in civilian clothes." Deposited at an unknown location, "he was repeatedly beaten and tortured by his interrogators," the suit claims. Since December 28, he has been held in a Kuwaiti deportation facility. State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley has denied that Mohamed was "detained at the behest of the United States."

Between December 20 and 28, no one in Mohamed's family heard from him. During that time, Mohamed says his interrogators beat him with sticks, forced him to stand for hours on end, and threatened him with electrocution, while questioning him on his travels and past. Questions like: Why had an NBA-loving, video-game-playing American teenager traveled to the Arab world—especially Yemen and Somalia, two hotbeds of anti-American radicalism? Did Mohamed meet with Anwar al-Awlaki, the New Mexico-born Al Qaeda propagandist who is reportedly hiding out in Yemen? And how did Mohamed feel about terrorism?

Mohamed, for his part, has told the New York Times that like any "good Muslim," he "despise[s] terrorism." Mohamed, his lawyer, and his family claim that he was in Yemen and Somalia in 2009 to study Arabic and learn more about the family of his late father, a man who he never knew. They note that Mohamed faces no charges, or even allegations of wrongdoing, in either Kuwait or the US. And they say there is significant evidence that the US government is behind everything that happened to Mohamed. If Mohamed's lawyer, Gadeir Abbas, can prove that in court, he'll be well on his way to getting his client home to the US.

There's certainly circumstantial evidence to suggest that the US was and is involved in Mohamed's detention. Mohamed and his lawyer say his interrogators possessed detailed information that could have only come from US government sources. Abbas explains in court documents:

    • "Nothing but suspicion" Newsflash the majority of the no fly lists are based on suspicion if the government had to build cases and present them to a judge in order to get people on the no fly list 80-90 percent of the people on it would not be , it just so happens that most of the time its mostly infringing on the non-citizens who have no rights or no say.

Terrorists are long term thinkers , taking as much as 10 years or more to plan an execute attacks , it would be kind of foolish to believe they would not exploit the only way to guarantee safe passage in and out of america by using a citizen and if they had good reason to put him on that no fly list , divulging what they know during a time of war would be a threat to national security.

America is at war but i think because its been 10 years since it has felt a blow from that war , america has forgotten what that means , citizens were in favor of giving up more freedoms in order to protect themselves from people that would do them harm , in a war where the enemy has no flag , wears no uniform and hides in plain sight , this is the collateral damage.

Does this situation present a threat to the rights of citizens of course it does but you are at war , this is no different than the govt using guantanamo so they don't have to provide the rights of those who land on u.s soil.

In times of war you often have too choose between your an infringement of your rights and your security its almost an unavoidable situation , another fact of war is that you dont get to choose when it ends , it ends when you have defeated your enemy period , if you got into a street fight and decide 3 minutes into it your winning and you want to quit , you risk the other guy getting up more pissed off than before and doing his worst to you , not only would ending the war before its over be dangerous , it would signal weakness to emerging powers.

The following quotes are from the 48 laws of power

      " Law 5

So Much Depends on Reputation – Guard it with your Life

Reputation is the cornerstone of power. Through reputation alone you can intimidate and win; once you slip, however, you are vulnerable, and will be attacked on all sides. Make your reputation unassailable. Always be alert to potential attacks and thwart them before they happen. Meanwhile, learn to destroy your enemies by opening holes in their own reputations. Then stand aside and let public opinion hang them."

^ending the war before its finished makes the u.s look like it has no backbone and will bow to the will of a people who have forgotten their in danger.

      " Law 9

Win through your Actions, Never through Argument

Any momentary triumph you think gained through argument is really a Pyrrhic victory: The resentment and ill will you stir up is stronger and lasts longer than any momentary change of opinion. It is much more powerful to get others to agree with you through your actions, without saying a word. Demonstrate, do not explicate."

      " Law 12

Use Selective Honesty and Generosity to Disarm your Victim

One sincere and honest move will cover over dozens of dishonest ones. Open-hearted gestures of honesty and generosity bring down the guard of even the most suspicious people. Once your selective honesty opens a hole in their armor, you can deceive and manipulate them at will. A timely gift – a Trojan horse – will serve the same purpose."

^^ you gotta finish the job , work over there long after the war is over to insure a peace.

      " Law 14

Pose as a Friend, Work as a Spy

Knowing about your rival is critical. Use spies to gather valuable information that will keep you a step ahead. Better still: Play the spy yourself. In polite social encounters, learn to probe. Ask indirect questions to get people to reveal their weaknesses and intentions. There is no occasion that is not an opportunity for artful spying."

      "Law 43

Work on the Hearts and Minds of Others

Coercion creates a reaction that will eventually work against you. You must seduce others into wanting to move in your direction. A person you have seduced becomes your loyal pawn. And the way to seduce others is to operate on their individual psychologies and weaknesses. Soften up the resistant by working on their emotions, playing on what they hold dear and what they fear. Ignore the hearts and minds of others and they will grow to hate you."

^ keep your friends close , your enemies closer and lastly

      " Law 15

      Crush your Enemy Totally

All great leaders since Moses have known that a feared enemy must be crushed completely. (Sometimes they have learned this the hard way.) If one ember is left alight, no matter how dimly it smolders, a fire will eventually break out. More is lost through stopping halfway than through total annihilation: The enemy will recover, and will seek revenge. Crush him, not only in body but in spirit."

    • Thats right folks, terrorism is the new communism.

Terrorism bugs me more than many other isms because American citizens are being stripped of their rights without knowing it. The government can classify anyone as a terrorism, even the guy that robs a liquor store he's a terrorist because he terrorized the store owner right? so we should all just go to jail, have no fair trial and kill ourselves. **** you america..

      *edit*
Sorry, but I'm pissed right now..

    • When The President told the world that we have to move forward and not prosecute those involved in torture what he was really trying to say was, "I'm not sending anyone to jail for something my administration is going to do."

    • Obama is kind of a prick when you look at what he does behind the scenes... what we know about anyway. He really seems to be acting G W Bush-ish. The right wing and some of the left wing really think Obama is a liberal, but in fact he isn't at all. In many respects I find Obama's administration to be as abhorrent as the previous administration.

    • Progressives are so busy being progressive they will ignore this too. You see, George W. was the torturer. It doesn't matter that nothing has changed. That's the problem of the two party scheme.

    • They've pretty successfully jumped from foreign nationals to undesirable U.S. citizens without much trouble from any of us.

Alarm bells should go off in your head should they detain undesirable U.S. citizens under non-fishy circumstances.

Of course, if that happens, you may never hear about it, and it might already be too late.

    • Two things bother me about this. First, why go to Somalia to learn Arabic?

"Except for a few communities along the southern Somali coast where Swahili (a Bantu language) and Arabic dialects are spoken, Somali nationals (including persons of non-Somali origin) speak one of several Somali dialects. Somali belongs to a set of languages called lowland Eastern Cushitic spoken by peoples living in Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, and Kenya. Eastern Cushitic is one section of the Cushitic language family, which in turn is part of the great Afro-Asiatic stock." http://countrystudies.us/somalia/51.htm

And second, considering the chaotic and highly dangerous situation in Somalia, what family would send a teenager to that war-torn country?

But, but! if we go against the great Obama, we are then of course red-neck racists, and probably drug dealers or child molestors...

Isn't it obvious? People are deaf to anything that says "we're doing something bad" because that means we have to change.. and that takes effort and responsibility... something that 3/4 of America is afraid of.

The most we can do is work from the ground up, work in our local governments and get a growing body of voices that outcry the depravity in our government, and slowly oust these mother fuckers who have no right running our country.

I'm sure there's democrat supporters that are also child molesters... Probably a few that frequent current.

I bet there's even some nazis too.

What's that really have to do with it? You really think Obama cares who his supporters are? He just needs to convince people that actually got enough votes.

    • that's a stretch. but nice try linking the President directly to "circumstantial evidence to suggest that the US was and is involved in Mohamed's detention." I have to reiterate "circumstantial to suggest" interpreted as "caught red handed" please... never mind "tortured" vs." detained"

    • Well, if the US was behind it, then you can be pretty sure they know more about what he was doing in Yemen and Somalia than what they are saying...or then again, not. I don't know.

Didn't Obama go to Kenya to learn more about his father, who he barely knew?
