The Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs (IPE) has -- together with other environmentalist groups -- published a report detailing the alleged malpractice in Apple's supply chain, which resulted in some workers being poisoned and disabled, and communities being polluted.

This whole story is very disheartening. It feels like dropping my Iphone down the hole of an outhouse. Those smooth lines, the balanced quality of a tech wonder, covered with shit! I sold my stock in aapl and now I am asking that great board member, Mr. Gore, "What's the deal, here? Don't you know about this? Don't you care? Can't you do anything?" I've lost faith in a technological icon, shall I lose it in an environmental leader as well? Mentioned this on another article.Alexandre is right. Doing the right thing, doing things right would be a drop in the bucket for Apple what a shame.
Other stories abound about this: http://www.ecns.cn/in-depth/2011/09-05/2183.shtml

To be on the level, I have never owned an Iphone, not even a cell phone. I have struggled with buying either an Iphone or an Ipad and now I am definitely out of the market. No blood on my hands from Apple products. I cannot believe how low key this story is and Apple just keeps getting bigger, keeps getting away with it.
Count your money Mr. Gore.
