Linda Norgrove was a kidnapped aid worker in Afghanistan, who died during a rescue attempt. It first was believed she died because a suicide vest was detonated, however an investigation found out the rescuers threw a grenade into the building she was being held in.

Today her parents released photographs and videos Linda took while being held by her captors.

"Lorna Norgrove was upset when the images were handed over. "I didn't want to look at them at first," she said. "It implies she was trying to befriend them, which is what she did with people. She would have been trying to keep relations good."-Guardian

Since the tragic events, her family have started a charity called Afghanistan Development, stating they feel from what they were told the kidnapping was for money and not political motives.
