    • It would be nice if you all had an idea of what an "incitement to violence." charge entails. In order to get a conviction the prosecution MUST PROVE that Beck was actively urging violence against Professor Pivens. A good example would be "One of you out there SHOULD Murder Professor Pivens because..." Merely stating that you think she is a quasi Marxist thinker who over the years has published writings that would give Lenin a hard on will not cut it.

    • im a huge fan of the projection theory to explain the majority of peoples behavior, and god bless beck for being the literal example everytime he opens his mouth.

what was that again about health care resulting in death pannels for the elderly?
not so much representative of what the government wants to actualy do, but just where beck's mind defaults.projecting his sickness onto others again.

beck's show should really be used as educational material for psych students.he is like a walking test case who unlike most, cant stop sharing his mania publicaly.

Hey, if this were a post about Teabaggers with violent signs, you WOULD have a point with these pictures, I'll give you that.

But this is not about teabaggers or other individual regular people with signs.

      It's about Glenn Beck.

    • lets see now, this is america where people have the freedom to express themselves. hmmmm, and we share differing opinions on politics, law, fucking, etc. you leftylibs can be tiring. glenn beck never openly targeted this dumb bitch for violence. he calls her ideas subversive to whats great about america, nothing more nothing less. sure, then a few crack pots who also disagree with her stupid ideas send her a few anonymous death threats. folks having different ideas and death threats go hand in hand and youll find everyone from hobo's to the president receiving them for what they say and do. even glenn and sarah get their share for what they say and do. so get a grip and a life and put your energies into trying to change something you may actually have some kind of control over, like your underwear. peace out

The way you express yourself indicates that you do not respect or value my life or the lives of others who may differ from you: words and phrases like "you leftylibs," "dumb bitch," "crack pots," "hobo's," and "you may actually have some kind of control over, like your underwear" mirror propaganda slogans that have been used by political extremists for many years to marginalize and then justify the extermination of those with whom they disagree. I wholeheartedly support free speech, but when, under the guise of "free speech," predatory and destructive psychopaths seek to label entire groups as unworthy of human rights, I drop my pen and pick up my pistol to defend myself. In this forum, your comments are sometimes entertaining and always provocative, but if you or anyone else under the guise of "free speech" attempt to foist hatred upon me and call it "liberty," I will resist you.

In my opinion, you and Glenn Beck represent no political ideology; instead, you represent people with no political sense, no cogent, rational basis upon which to discuss issues, and no intentions of finding common ground. In a nihilistic and threatening display of belligerent and uncaring bullying, you seek only to stifle the opinions of those who will not assent to your sad and depressing world view. The world of the rightist ideologue has become a frightening and inhuman place where only the aggressive survive, where compassion is ridiculed, where social responsibility is spat upon, and where ignorance is glorified. I do not belong to that world, so I must leave I to your capable stewardship. In another time and place we may have been friends- we may even have shared some views on what will make our world a better place. But in this life, where real people must learn to work with others, I see no chance of that, simply because you answer every sincere overture with scorn and derision. So don't expect me to welcome you into any more of my meaningful consideration of your words. You've used up your 15 minutes of fame with me.

They also know that they are watching comedy. Many Glenn Beck followers mistake his program for news. People that believe that the things that Glenn Beck spews are factual without question, scare the crap out of me.

The concept, however impossible to implement, of "only smart people should own guns" would be the ultimate form of gun control- just what Democrats want.

    • What a stretch.
" "Somebody tell Frances I have 5000 rounds ready and I'll give My life to take Our freedom back," wrote one user on Beck's news site, The Blaze. "

That is not a threat on Fraces, it's simply a statement that there are tens of thousands of patriots who have armed themselves and if the socialists continue to try to take control of the government, the citizens will fight back.

that's NOTHING different than what people on the left say about creeping fascism. But of course the lefties hear it and can't understand it as anything other than a death threat.

Maybe that's how they meant it when THEY said it.

But I've got news for you: that's what the 2nd amendment was all about: patriots fighting against a tyrranical government.

So you are saying it's not a threat of violence against Francis- it's a threat of violence against the democratically elected government of the United States because a gun-wielding minority does not like health care.

That is so much beter, and far more rational, huh?

Sorry, a group of morons manipulated by corporate interests to preserve the rich and powerful at the expense of the poor, working and middle classes is not the same as "patriots fighting against a tyrranical government".

Wow, you just can't help saying purposefully untrue things.

      It's amazing.

      One lie after another, non-stop.

It's like you have no clue what the truth even IS.

      Here is your first lie:
"Glenn Beck is a man who turned his life around and has urged millions of Americans to educate themselves about our constitution and encourages them to read the Federalist Papers to better understand and preserve what a great country we have. "

      Here is your second lie:
      "and the progressives hate that?"

      And your third lie:
"I know when someone is trying to feed me a load of shit, and I don't sup at that table."

... the third one, BTW, was proven a lie by the first two.

      Then, we have this nonsense:

"So, are you saying that to implore Americans to know the Constitutions meaning and purpose as intended by our forefathers and to know and understand the Federalist Papers is not a good thing?"

Which just digs your hole even deeper, and finally, to dig your pit to it's deepest level, you give us this:

"So you think the masses should be happy being kept in the dark feeding off the shit you arrogant progressive elitist intellectual assholes defecate daily through your leftist msm propaganda machine?"

It is amazing you can even leave the bathroom each day, with everything that pours out of you.

You constantly take any conversation and drag it to it's lowest level: demonization.

      Or as you said:

"The rest of your comment is purposely denigrative in content and intent. . . straight from the heart of a sick and caustic peter-puffing puppy."

ALL of your comments were exactly that- purposely denigrative in content and intent.

It is SHOCKING how you have partitioned off your mind to spew the crap you do while accusing others of spewing crap. It must be a delicate balance for you to preserve any sanity at all.

Are you even capable of talking like a normal human being, and mention issues and topics that you simply agree with or disagree with, and then treat others as people who simply disagree?

      I don't think so.

*sigh*. . . yep, as I said, here we go again.
Here's the thing, your "challenge" was an accusation that I didn't speak truth.

Is it fact that Beck turned his life around? . . YES

Is it fact that he does encourage those who care about our govt and the insidious usurpation of our civil liberties to educate themselves on the constitution and to read books such as Free to Choose, The Road to Serfdom, and the Federalist Papers?. . YES

Then I went on to comment my over all feelings of politicians in general. . . also TRUE.

. . . and what was your response? . . accusations that I spoke untruth, with innuendo's such as . ."So much for getting your education from "Glen Beck University". . "but you watch Glenn Beck". . and . . "You are sitting next to the toilet, with a fork in one hand and a spoon in the other, gobbling it down and smiling the whole time." . . which not only was intentionally snide but purposely implied.
Needless to say that ticked me off. . . but then that was your purpose, wasn't it?

With your foul disingenuous innuendos, you at your best are far from being even remotely qualified to be lecturing me about civility.

Now, let's look at what you ACTUALLY said-

First, you create a characterization of Glenn Beck that isa all positives and NO negatives, and claim "the Progressives hate that".

That is a lie, and an obvious one.

Shall I claim you hate Obama because he's a black Law professor? Or is there some other reason you dislike him?

Then, you began the scatological metaphor with this:

"fed nothing but shit and constantly kept in the dark."

      And continued it with this:

"It is said that often when one gets older they loose their sense of taste. . . I don't know about you, but I know when someone is trying to feed me a load of shit, and I don't sup at that table."

And then react with shock that I continued your metaphor.

Your entire posts were for the purpose of ticking people off.

MY point was to get you to realize it.

So, I will repeat my challenge to you: try talking like a normal human being, and mention issues and topics that you simply agree with or disagree with, and then treat others as people who simply disagree.

ARE you up to the challenge?

You claim I'm just as bad as you- because I mirrored what you said back at you- so stop providing me with something to mirror.

If I am such an awful person, then are you capable of being BETTER than me?

      No, not really.

There are people, like myself, you use words like "idiot" and "moron" within the context of a "defense of our belief systems", and then there are people like Apysis, Obama-nation and 2hellnwait who's posts are JUST attacks with no substance whatsoever.

Frankly, I would put you in that category as well- with the diference being that I don't think you even believe most of what you post. You do not simply state your opinions with emotional defense, you just post to get an emotional reaction from people.

I think you are a smart guy who pretends to be a whole lot dumber than you really are, as opposed to Apysis, who trys really hard to sound smarter than he really is.

So, I will repeat my challenge to 2Hellnwait to you to you: try talking like a normal human being, and mention issues and topics that you simply agree with or disagree with, and then treat others as people who simply disagree.

And saying "Everybody does it" is no defense. Are YOU capable of being better?

are YOU up to the challenge?

If I am such an awful person, then are you capable of being BETTER than me?

If you would like, consider this a reaction to the shooting in Arizona, and John Stewart's "Call to Sanity", and Glenn Beck's repeated insanity, and the continued "Hitlerification" of political speech in this country.

Don't like the other side? then compare them to Hitler!

So, I am making a significant effort to change how I discuss politics online.

Are YOU willing to do the same?

      2Hellnwait is obviously not.

i appreciate your analysis of me and there may be some minute partially underlying truth to what you say. but again as with many folks on here, and i am also guilty of it. you tend to generalize everything and everyone on the right as being evil with only regard for themselves and their personal agenda's.its not all dems good, gop bad or visa versa. i have a very strong and healthy ego and am as opinionated as anyone else. i try not to base my responses or opinions on emotional needs or reactions. you and i are on different ends of the political spectrum. both of us i am sure just want to live a happy life. but we may have differing opinions, ideas and goals on how to achieve it. less government intrusion and intervention in my life in my pursuit for happiness is one of the roads i prefer to travel. too much nanny state and the government owes me mentality out there. folks need to buck up and take responsible for their own lives. if they are honestly incapable and need a hand i am all for it. but church, community and or family should be the first route. the government can always step in when basic needs cant be met through these other means. anyway, i'm rambling. i'll attempt to be more respectful of your opinion even though i probably disagree with most of them. peace
