I feel so bad for all my buddies on here that have to go through this EPIC winter storm. As your lil' virtual friend, I'm sending over some warmth: I'm in Florida and the weather is absolutely beautiful outside ;) Who wants to go to the beach today!? We can go fishing, camp on the beach, have a bon fire, eat coconuts, bury each on in the sand, go boating, try kiteboarding, snorkle, scuba dive, swim with manatees, do nothing......

Ah winter. This crap is really interfering with my running. Glad I don't live in the bullseye

I think I already saw this movie on the SyFy channel, the lone sheriff & the FEMA scientist hack into DARPA's weather satellite just in time to stop the super-storm.

Wow. The weather is going to whack 100 million of us.

Looks like the Farmer's Almanac was right. They predicted a cold and rainy winter in the south.

It's odd how accurate they can be, considering they publish a new one every year, and still be right towards the end of the year.

California. It was nearly 0 last night around Syracuse. And we're
supposed to be getting cold mitigated temperatures because of
our proximity to to the Great Lake Ontario .That temperature is
for the birds. At least they're smart enough to migrate South.

We need to abandon the silly idea that a minor greenhouse gas taking a WHOPPING .000385 of our atmosphere is responsibl­e for droughts, floods, heat waves, snow storms, polar bear extinction­, coral death, retreating glaciers, malaria, Egyptian riots, flat feet and warts - the sooner we can move forward with things that actually matter such as actually protecting forests and wildlife from urban sprawl or insuring that our clean water stays that way.

Dr. van Andel is saying basically what I've been screaming for years - IT'S THE WATER YOU IDIOTS! 70 percent of our planet is covered with water and 60 percent of our sky is covered over by water, (clouds). Water is what drives our climate. Variation of those is what affects our climate - deep ocean currents, (PDO, etc.), convective transport of latent heat (tropical thundersto­rms), cloud formation, (sulfur, cosmic rays etc.) - all correlatin­g well to climate change while CO2 shows hardly any correlatio­n all.

The climate is what it is and the prepondera­nce of evidence is that we aren't doing anything to it in any measurable way so why can we not at least agree that we need to be prepared for what it can do to us?

Don't worry, us Canadians will be fine. It's not like we haven't seen worse snowstorms... :D

My friend is at school in Missouri. He sent me a text this afternoon that said "Snowmaggeddon!!!"
I laughed.
Anyway, I wouldn't mind crazy amount of snow/ice. My university never closes and I could really use a snowday.

I vote against it. ( you can do that in a democracy,....right ? )
