I know where you're going with this. Yes, I think it was, and the only reason America got involved was because they were attacked.

In addition, if the Bush family had not financially supported Hitler, the Nazi regime might not have gotten the funds to cause World War II. In the end, Wikileaks is still doing more to achieve peace because while WW2 was supposed to be the "war to end all wars", we've still be warring in every decade since then.

Spreading confidential information about the U.S. government is doing more for the peace movement than any war effort in the modern era.

Because wars in the modern era were only waged for power over resources and control over the global economy.

And I suppose you could name 5 more worthy people of that prize?

I personally don't think he should have received that award either, but in all actuality I don't think the prize is invalidated because he won one. In all seriousness, let's not forget that the Nobel prizes were invented by the same guy who invented dynamite.

Revolutions have never been a dull activity. People will get hurt. But now with the real truth out, people can make real informed decisions about what type of relationship they want to have with their governments, the politicians, and ruling elite. If they choose to violently overthrow oppressive regimes, is the end result not worth the sacrifice of a few good men and women? Of course it is!

Besides. He's too busy boosting businesses, cutting our taxes, reducing the deficit, trying to give us shit like good health care, and managing two wars started by the last guy.

Reducing the deficit......it went up.

Good health care.......No single payer. Requiring everyone to have insurance is not a substitute for good health care.

The wars he inherited.........he could have ended. They are his now.

He did reduce it. The deficit is how much we overspend per year and the first yeah of having his own budget it was reduced.

However the tax cuts that where enacted are going to cost 400Billion this year so I expect it will rise again.

You might actually make friends if you didn't act like a 5 year old. Many progressive think it was somewhat sudden to give him that honor.

The 2010 deficit was 1.416 trillion. In 2009 it was 1.294 trillion. On paper it looks like the deficit went down a teeny bit. But the deficit does not take into account all of the govt spending. If you include the off the books spending, then the true deficit has gone up. If we balanced our books the way they do, we'd be in jail.

That would be telling wouldn't it!
