The lawsuit, filed in New York by an Israeli firm, alleges that the book "contained numerous false and knowingly misleading statements intended to promote the author's agenda of anti-Israel propaganda and to deceive the reading public instead of presenting accurate information as advertised."
The five American plaintiffs, two of whom are dual citizens of the US and Israel, seek $5 million in damages over the book (which is being sold for less than $10 on Amazon) on the basis that its criticisms of Israel violated consumer protection safeguards.
The plaintiffs alleged in a press release that the 39th US president and Nobel Peace Prize winner "violated the law and, thus, harmed those who purchased the book" by unfairly "attacking Israel."
Attorney Nitsana Darshan-Leitner said her clients' lawsuit "will expose all the falsehoods and misrepresentations in Carter's book and prove that his hatred of Israel has led him to commit this fraud on the public."

it woud be better to first destroy carters efforts idealogicaly in the public sphere, and then seek the appropriate restitution.as this way allows for a backlash of those evil zionist attacking poor mr carter, rather than them using the legal system to uphold truth.
but we will take what we can get.justice is justice all the same wether or not the mass's get it.

This lawsuit will fail if not at trial then on appeal. The desperation of Zionists NEVER cease to amaze me. My hope is this lawsuit will send the sales of President Carters book through the roof to EDUCATE more people on the OTHER side of the israeli Palestinian conflict.

when tried here it will fail, as his book has already entered the public sphere of opinion and been readily accepted as an authoritive work.making any evaluation of it either partisan hackery, or just straight up prejudicial.
the book wont sell more, as it has already made its impact and its content circulated massively.hence it being target worthy.
personal feelings on israel aside, if carters efforts mischaracterize what aparthied is, thus redefine it to serve a targeted agenda, what does that do to our collective understanding.what precident does it set?
it may serve many in the short, much in the way painting hitler mustaches on obama and bush does.but to make what bush and obama do one in the same as what hitler did serves to deminish what hitler actualy did right? how many more generations, each more removed from tangable evidence to what hitler did, will not be able to recognize the difference between hyperbole and true evil, thus creating a door for that true evil to reappear?
this is what carter is doing with aparthied.making it what israel is doing, thus changing what it actualy is.both altering its defenition in the collective mind of us, risking our ability to recognize actual parthieds.as well as using it for hyperbolic, artistic flair making it an easily dismissed accusation.
it is the boy who cried wolf type of abuse.
