    • Glenn Beck. I would love to see him take a psychiatric test and share the results with us all. I also wonder what his medicine cabinet looks like. I can't figure out if he is being over medicated or under medicated.

    • If you think that only Google is giving info to the government and corporations you are fooling yourself. They ALL do it, whether they are doing it Directly or just allowing it! So, this is NOT News.
As far as Beck, well, I am still waiting for the day that his fans realize they have been duped and the Truth destroys his ratings. (I'm not holding my breath) ;-(

    • Wow, I can't believe how reactionary most people are on this post. Glenn Beck is a moron, obviously. That doest mean if he says the sky is blue, you believe it isn't. There is a serious element of truth to what he is saying here concerning Google, with the usual partisan BS in between.

i believe the sky to be blue, but considering beck's track record if he stated it was blue, it would create reason to doubt it in my mind.as so little that he claims has any basis in reality.

    • Inside Glenn Becks Brain-
Its sad when a mother has to speak the words that condemn her own son.
But I couldn't allow them to believe that I would commit murder. They'll put him away now as I should have years ago. He was always bad, and in the end he intended to tell them I killed those girls and that man.
As if I could do anything except just sit and stare--like one of his stuffed birds. Well, they know I can't move a finger. And I won't. I'll just sit here and be quiet, just in case they do suspect me.
They're probably watching me. Well, let them. Let them see what kind of person I am.
I'm not even going to swat that fly. I hope they are watching. They'll see. They'll see, and they'll know, and they'll say... (as he slowly raises his eyes to meet ours, smirking) 'Why, she wouldn't even harm a fly!

Maybe, just maybe, some countries dont want google because they want their people stupid, unaware, and misinformed.... kinda like beck wants his fans.

    • Look, Beck is just a tool, we all know that. But reposting his crap like this only helps him: Part of the reason he makes these crazy claims is just a very simple and cynical attempt to keep his name out there and keep people talking about him and his show (the same reason Paris Hilton used to show up with no panties at nightclubs in front of paparazzi).
The only goal here is to get more brand awareness and a bigger audience for FOX.

Profit is the only thing Murdoch cares about. Beck is just his little, brainless performing monkey of the moment.

For instance,Imagine one man tells you he has scientific evidence a commit will destroy the earth in the next 48 hours. Then, a second man also tells everyone he has scientific evidence a commit will destroy Earth within the next 48 hours, but then goes on to tell you it is because of a secret society of gremlins who steal our socks in the night. In this example, the commit was real, but the Gremlins shockingly false. It turns out the man didn't believe in the sock gremlins either, he just wanted humanity to ignore the warning about the commit. It worked, because the media really only payed attention to the sensational stories of the gremlin, sock cult, guy.

"Startpage" on the other hand doesn't retain any information.

Google do that for targeted advertising and that's why it's the best search engine- They make money from what they do and from being the top so they have an interest in doing the best job they can to stay at the top.

Besides, there is no need to go watery a the knees about Google search records. They're open about it and you can check YOUR OWN search history if your searching while signed in and even turn it off so it doesn't record. Mine hasn't recorded since 2007:

    • He's just a shock jock fear monger doing his puppet masters bidding.

Beck has attended the not-so-secret anymore invitation-only retreats that the Koch Billionaires hold twice per year. He's getting his coaching from them and Murdoch and Murdoch is giving him the platform to do so. Murdoch has a lot of experience toying with politicians and whole governments from his early years in the AU. Murdoch also doesn't like paying taxes and he's cheated governments out of their due.

Murdoch also makes a fortune on advertising and the Koch's Billions have bought a lot of political attack ads which are aimed solely at Democrats and what they support.

Here's a complaint letter sent to AG Eric Holder regarding Justices Scalia and Thomas having attended those same Koch retreats. It lists a few of the beholden politicians who also were present.
There's also a list floating around of attendees from one of their retreats that reads like the Forbes top 200 wealthiest.
It's a shame the tea party folks were so easily duped by Billionaires into letting these Oligarchs further entrench themselves into our Congress by simply voting for the people Palin pointed out. She's the Koch's Tea Party Express cheerleader.......a well paid one since she quit her Governors job ....at their request perhaps?

      http://www.commoncause.org/site/apps/nlnet/content2.aspx?c=dkLNK1MQIwG&b=477...

This is a little about Murdoch's years in the AU.

Rupert Murdoch discovered very early in life that through his media establishments if he helped out politicians, the favors would be repayed in multiples.

That if he ever chose to take down a government, such as he did by turning his newspapers negative on Gough Whitlam after having previously supported him and thus been bought into his confidence, he could. He would also be very aware that this would give him control over the democratically elected governments actions and influence over the policies they adopted.

In other words, the power that Rupert Murdoch wields through his media empire is more than any politician could ever hope for.
If Murdoch decides to help, you'll do OK.
If he decides not to help, the other guy will win.
And if after a short time, after he has laid the ground work to make you and the general public believe he is supporting you but he actually intends to destroy your government, he will.

These things have already occurred throughout Rupert Murdoch's life so he would believe them to be true and the power that he wields over nations empirical or absolute.

      Murdoch 'pays no UK tax'

"Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch may run one of the most profitable businesses in the UK, but it appears that he has somehow managed to avoid running up a tax bill over the past 11 years.

According to The Economist, Mr Murdoch has saved at least £350m in tax - enough to pay for seven new hospitals, 50 secondary schools or 300 primary schools.

How he has done it remains a mystery - and News Corporation is certainly loath to give away any financial secrets.

But it appears that Mr Murdoch's tax accountants have surpassed themselves - making full use of tax loopholes to protect profits in offshore havens"

Any good investigative journalists out there? I wonder how much tax money Murdoch "shelters" from our Government too?

No, we libs keep saying the corporations own the right. Ya, sometimes I wonder who's side the government is on, but with the right, there is no question at all. The right is owned by selfish, greedy, and arrogant parts of corporations with fox as their bullhorn. Right, got no time for jobs and other of their big ideas they haven't quite formulated yet, but those no government intrusion folks sure weren't embarrassed to hit abortion and health care first thing. What hypocrites. No money for schools but there is money to be found to monitor every pregnancy in the country.

What still makes me sad and sorry is that the right has talked so many people into believing that the right's right even when what the repubs say is not in their best interest. And now Glenn has really found a way to strike fear into the hearts of the ignorant. Now you tell me, oh patriot, how the peaceful demonstrations in Egypt are a Google, Muslim Brotherhood, communist, Nazi, socialist, extremist, terrorist, gay, (probably catholic, too, since I've heard some of those who profess to know - that the pope is the real antichrist) plot. Oh, and don't forget that when President Obama is done with all this - he wants to give it all back to the Indians.

And would you people on the right get off your "I'm so patriotic" pedestal. I am on the progressive left, and I AM A PATRIOT, TOO. The patriotic left is defending this nation, too.

ROTFLMAO at that picture. It reminds me of a baby who accidentally messed himself and thinks he is in trouble. I tell ya, I hope the GOP has stock in Kleenex cause between Beck and Boehner (The Boo Hoo Duo) they need to keep it on hand. I've never seen anything like it. Let Pelosi or Obama or Hillary or Keith start blubbering like that and it would be a "man-up" festival in the Palin camp. Seriously, not that I had respect for them at all before, but what little (and I'm talking microscopic) I might have had went out the window with the waterworks. They only do that to gain sympathy from their base and attempt to deflect attention to the fact that they are saying something stupid and untrue. It's "Awww he is crying from so much emotion, it must be true to affect him like that". Good Lord. Pass the Tylenol.

I think Beck was given the bash google idea from Murdoch.
I recently read that Murdoch didn't like Google using their net crawling bots to grab any News Corp news or links. Murdoch says he doesn't think those news readers are going to become regular readers...just hit and run folks.
I think he prefers to keep them captive so he can brainwash them.

He's also trying to change news from being free to a pay-for-model.
I believe it was his Wall Street Journal that he has created an Ipad Ap for..... which will soon become subscription only.

Hi, Funky. Ya really give him two years? I have heard his rates are dropping, although if he really starts to crash on tv, the ratings will soar. He will probably be on radio until he's on his death bed. Maybe his next gig will be acting. He is real soap opera material.

    • What good is FCC if they don't regulate the lies/misinformation and propaganda distributed by Fox(so-called news) and all media organizations, similar to Fox? This sort of broadcasting should be considered as obscene!

Don't do a google search because you should stifle your curiousity about what is actually happening in the world.

It is becoming truly alarming this guy is still on the air. He is having a mental breakdown, or Fox Newz is taking propaganda to record highs.

Beck pays taxes to the federal, state and local governments and files tax returns with those governments. He is able to engage in mindless rants on television because his right to do so is protected by the federal and state governments via their constitutions. Beck presumably has a social security card issued by the federal government and a driver's license issued by his state government. He will soon be collecting on his unemployment insurance, a government-run program. Since he is so deeply in bed with government...
