Chevron’s Ecuador Award ‘Unenforceable,’ Experts Point out

Chevron doesn’t have any refineries, storage terminals, oil wells or another properties in Ecuador that could be seized to pressure the organization to pay, said Mark Gilman, an analyst at Benchmark Co. in Ny. Awaiting an adverse ruling, Chevron visited court in New York a week ago to acquire a purchase temporarily shielding the organization anywhere in the world from collection efforts associated with the situation.
