"In light of this, a person’s membership in specific victim groups is far more important than his behavior. And there is a clear pecking order of victimhood in identity politics.
Anti-American Third World national, religious and ethnic groups are at the top of the victim food chain. They out-victim everyone else.
After them come the Western victims: Racial minorities, women, homosexuals, children and animals.
Israelis, Jews, Americans, white males and rich people are the predetermined perpetrators. No matter how badly they are victimized, brave reporters will go to heroic lengths to ignore, underplay or explain away their suffering.
In cases when victim groups are attacked by victim groups – for instance when Iraqis were attacked by Saddam, or Palestinians are attacked by the PA, the media tend to ignore the story.
When members of Western victim groups are attacked by Third World victims, the story can be reported, but with as little mention of the identity of the victim-perpetrators as possible. So it was with coverage of Logan and the rest of the foreign reporters assaulted in Egypt. They were attacked by invisible attackers with no identities, no barbaric values, no moral responsibility, and no criminal culpability. CBS went so far as to blur the faces of the men who surrounded Logan in the moments before she was attacked."
"Identity politics are nothing more than socially acceptable bigotry. Those who practice it are racist bigots who have replaced liberal values that hold everyone to the same moral and criminal standards with illiberal values that judge people’s morality and criminality by the identity group with which they are most readily associated."

It's always the worst types of people who seek to politicize every aspect of violence and add some some of justification that minimizes the role of the victim in order to further their own little pet ideology.
Your copy and pasted words are just a nicer way of stating your default position: All Muslims are evil and bad.My default position is that racists and bigots should not be tolerated.
This was not an act of religion, this was an act of violence during a violent, wholly political uprising.Take your bigotry somewhere else please. Copy and pasted text can't fool me. The vicious, nasty, subversive, bigotry inside this seemingly clinical form is as plain as day.

I have issues with Logan, she did a horrifyingly obsequious puff piece on 60 minutes on Erik Prince the Blackwater CEO and is married to a defense contractor. So, I don't think all of her reporting is totally unbiased. But. If I was religious and believed in hell, I would reserve an especially painful room for people like Schlussel.
To imply that ANY woman enjoyed or deserves a sexual assault or rape is beyond the pale. Then to basically state any journalist should expect this for doing their job is beyond the pale times infinity.
Now I realize why I despise Republican women, it's because they despise women in general.

Lara Logan might have been attacked, but she wasn't raped.
I'm not excusing the attack, but some, like Schlussel make their bones by stirring up hatred for Arab Christians and Muslims.
From the Wall Street Journal:
"The separation and assault lasted for roughly 20 to 30 minutes, said a person familiar with the matter, who added that it was "not a rape." A CBS News spokesman declined to comment beyond the statement."

It is totally a far-fetched story and I didn't believe it when it was first reported, but it makes a good headline and it re-inforces us to hate those Moooozlems.
I highly doubt that she was raped for thirty minutes in broad daylight in front of a crowd of thousands. If a group of men really wanted to rape her, they probably would have just snatched her off the street and took her off into a back alley or something.
That being said, a group of men seperating her from her news crew while yelling at her and most likely someone hitting her and grabbing at her ass sounds a lot more plausible. Like I said, not excusing her attackers, but lets not let Shawn Hannity and Debbie Schlussel feed us implausible horror stories for shock value.

Yes, she did- "Hope you’re enjoying the revolution, Lara!." Schlussel shows no compassion whatsoever, "So sad, too bad, Lara.", and is actually smug about the attack: "How fitting that Lara Logan was 'liberated' by Muslims in Liberation Square".
On her website, she makes a feeble gesture to walk it back, "Of course I don’t support “sexual assault” or violence against Lara Logan" but then states "I did say that it warms my heart when reporters who openly deny that Islam is violent and constantly promote it get the same kinds of threats of violence I get every day from Muslims."
However you look at it, Schlussels own remarks demonstrate her undeniable enjoyment of another woman's suffering.

Want an answer to your question regarding Moslems?
Okay - we have 9-11 as a GLARING answer, along with honor killings, hatred and killing of Jews, Christians, Hindus, atheists, Moslem converts to Christianity, crowds of superstitious fanatics demanding and performing executions for adultery, homosexuality - need I go on?
And don't think I have any use for any other religion, either.
As for Ms. Logan - she should have known better than to go into a crowd of 30 year old virgins who are afraid of their own females and consider it a rite of passage to rape Westernized females. I submit her stupidity and arrogance caused her problems, now she will have to live with them.
Want more? Look up my blog via my user name - I really find the hypocrisy here a prime example of what is wrong with western society. We are getting what we asked for by allowing such superstitious savages into our midst.

Conway, there are religious fanatics in every corner of the globe that claim to use some religion as the basis for their foul acts. Terrorists in Tokyo gassed the subway system and used Buddhism as their reason. People claiming to be Christian in America kill doctors that do things they don't agree with. Do I have to mention the Westboro Baptist Church either? Even some terrorists have been Hindu, Jewish, the list goes on. They all fall under one umbrella- Bat Shit Crazy. But more importantly, they were all duped into believing someone that the main religion they claimed to be from did not dictate.
The articles of faith of each religion, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hindu, Buddhist- are all peaceful. It's stupid humans that try to use their writing to back up their bad behavior.
Be it Scott Roeder or Al-qaeda, they're all crazy.
Your notion that muslims are savages is abhorrent. Absolutely atrocious. I'm sorry that you seem to think that.
You are calling them "superstitious" but by the looks of it- it's you thats the cooky one. Come on, Conway, don't live like that. Do you really want to wake up with the mentality that everyone who is Muslim is some "savage?" Is your world black and white? We're all people. We all have parents and families. We all poop, too.
It just so happens that there are a few crazy people scattered across the world. And those crazy people mingle with the rest of us. Some crazy people go to Christian Churches, some to temples, some to Mosques, and some to WWE matches.

Hitler loved his mother too, or so it is said. He still was no damn good, period. That is my stance on Moslems; I have perused their dogma, the Koran and some selections from the Hadiths, and I find them even more repugnant than the Torah, the Septuagint or the New Testament are. All strike me as tomes of death, hatred, malice and more death, presented to the reader as "words of god". If there are gods like those described in the above books, they are tyrannical monsters; I'd rather go to hell, if such a place exists, so I could be as far away from such creatures as I can.
That said, I don't buy the "we're all human" kumbaya promoted by those who wish that people could get along. People never will get along, it's proven by our blood-drenched history. I've had to deal with Moslem savages, and that's what I call them, who have plainly stated to my face that I should be murdered due to the fact that I do not and have never believed there is a god. Apparently, according to Moslems, and to a lesser degree Christians, I'm not allowed to have my own beliefs, or should I say the lack of them.
I submit that religious believers of all stripes are superstitious, as they believe in invisible, theoretical beings whose existence cannot be proven either way. Whether there actually is a creator is a matter of conjecture, there is no proof of its existence, or its non-existence for that matter. Such determinations are beyond human capabilities; this observation includes myself.
People should wake up and realize how clueless we collectively are - we do not truly know where we came from, or where we are going, if anywhere other than inertially drifting through endless space-time, or of what happens when we expire. I candidly wager that we all rot in the ground after death, though I will never make the obtuse claim that I KNOW that happens. You don't strike me as stupid; I'm sure you understand my points.

Conway, come on, this is absurd. What does Hitler have to do with making everybody that is Muslim a "savage"?
I wasn't trying to make a "kumbaya", 'we're all one' point. I was trying to say that the majority of people on the planet, of all creeds and colors, are perfectly normal. There just happen to be a few psychopaths strewn about. I feel like that point isn't getting acrosss.
You can believe whatever you want as far as religion, thats great, but it gives you no reason to call an entire group of people savages. You have no reason to call Muslims "savages."
There are Muslims in each branch of the American military. Don't go about being so offensive to people. We could make this a huuuuge debate, but all I want to do is get the point across that Muslim's are not savages. Unless every human on earth is a savage and we are all equally so.

If a woman claims rape in a Muslim nation, there must be a minimum of 4 MEN to verify that the act was not premeditated or invited by the woman . . . do you have any idea how hard that is to prove?

Dear Hellen. I read. I read quite a bit. Research is what I do. I understand your point, but Muslim boys are not raised to be around girls. Especially not as friends. Nearly every male Muslim who has NEVER been married has never so much as touched a girl's hand. I have travelled in the Middle East, including Egypt. I've interviewed men, gay and straight. Even straight men have men have at least one friend who is closer to them than their wife. This "friend" is usually from childhood. This companion and the relationship that goes with it are encouraged by their parents. Females are forbidden as objects of lust. Some, though not many, straight men are more comfortable being nude and even deep kissing with their male companions. Since Muslims are much more God-fearing than any other religion I know about, it stands to reason: They would sooner never have sexual relations with a women than be punished by God.
They still use ancient bathhouses to discuss business, pleasure, life and family. - 1 year ago

Schlussel & Coulter are the reason why people think it's ok to hate and kill people. These type of assholes need to be taken off the air and arrested for spewing shit that brings hate and nonsense on the air!!!

She was being sarcastic. It appears she was making the point that the love fest for those those in the streets was over done. They are not just young freedom loving individuals, they are also women abusers.

im sure the woman who got raped was not lost on the irony... it did not require such an evil and mean spirited ha-ha from another woman... its inappropriate for any woman to feel that rape to another woman is a good lesson or she got what she deserved

Debbie Schlussel is a disgusting person. Rupert Murduck is a jack ass for giving her (and the rest of those arrested development idiots) a venue.

I sometimes thought what was said on these shows was done for shock value because those saying it knew it would get them attention. I guess not. They really are this insensitive and hateful. I am sickened that this woman would say such a thing about a violent crime against another woman. All I can say to her is that she is a disgrace to women everywhere.

Well that was a given. But there is or at least I thought there was an unspoken bond between women about such things. Sexual assault /rape is an act of violence and a violation of who we are, not sex. It is not something a woman "enjoys." If anything, it gives us a very candid look about her own psyche, and it isn't pretty.
