"workers whine when they are asked to at least pay a little bit of money toward their health care and juicy retirement benefits." the public workers agreed to pay more. They just don't want to give up their collective bargaining rights. The general population are dumb and don't bother looking into the facts.

Because private workers are not being adequately compensated, does not mean that public employees should be also inadequately compensated. The object is, to make sure that everyone is adequately compensated. Although recent Congresses, including the current one, have enabled commerce to get more than their fair share from the American workplace, while workers suffer, our challenge is to reform government to insure that all workers are getting a fair shake, and fair compensation. And that, is the war most conspicuously being waged in Wisconsin right now. Everyone should be getting the same benefits that public workers have been getting. And if companies can't compete with that being the case, "so be it". Let them move to Asia, and let us stop subsidizing them. When they do that, realize that they will no longer be contributing to the secret pay of our legislators.
It's called "TOUGH LOVE", friends. And remember, private workers, it is corporate's intention to make you resent public employees, so they can drive a wedge between you, and prevent you from working together to improve working conditions and benefits for everyone.

We're in the middle of a depression. I am the poster boy for the under-employed. They get health care, pension, payed for with my tax dollars, and they can't be fired. I'm sorry, I don't feel that much empathy for them. Excuse me.

Sleight of hand is the game we are playing. The problem starts at the top, stop the people running the central banks, witch will end most of the wars, - 1 year ago
