What happened here is just so wrong. I find the term homophobe to be less accurate than the term intolerant. Fear can be an irrational reaction where as intolerance is something that someone on some level makes a conscious choice to be. Did the woman in question do this out of fear or intolerance (or maybe she is just stupid as hell and none of this matters)?

This is clearly the work of an ignorant hate-filled monster, probably jealous of the beautiful home this couple created for themselves. They should forget what passes for law enforcement in Tenn. and call in the FBI and the Southern Poverty Law Center to investigate what can surely be called a hate crime.

Girls in the US are educated at rates greater than boys. There is no group in America advocating, like the Taliban, that women not be educated.

The difference in the two system is under Christianity a woman who "submits to the authority" of her husband still enjoys equal protection under American law, can inherit property, cannot be divorced without a court proceeding, etc. Under Sharia, a woman enjoys no equal protection under the law, cannot inherit property, and can be divorced by being told (or in some countries texted) three times that the man wishes to divorce them.
