Glenn Beck attacked Van Jones for contributing a section to a human rights curriculum for New York State schools focused on raising awareness of police brutality. Beck falsely suggested that Jones accused all New York police of being violent.***Beck Lashes Out At Van Jones For Raising Awareness Of Police Brutality***
Beck: Van Jones Teaches That "The Wisdom About Police In New York" Is Illustrated By One Instance Of Police Brutality. From the March 3 edition of Glenn Beck: (Research at link)
***Van Jones Simply Used An Example Of Actual Police Brutality To Raise Human Rights Awareness***
Jones Used A Real-World Anecdote To Illustrate Police Brutality. In the human rights curriculum Speak Truth to Power, Van Jones wrote of the need to raise awareness of both police brutality and its remedies: (Research at link)
The Police Officer At The Center Of The Case Was Fired. From The San Francisco Chronicle: (Research at link)
***Jones Was Condemning Police Brutality, Not The Police In General***
Jones: "Obviously, Just Because Somebody Calls And Says, 'Officer So-And-So Did Something To Me,' Doesn't Mean It Actually Happened." In Speak Truth to Power, Van Jones wrote: (Research at link)

You can practically see Glenn pulling the shit out of his ass and shoving it in your face
Does this make any sense?
After quoting Jones' side of the story Glenn says:
"But the police side of the story was told in this. But don't worry I'm sure one side of every story is just plenty" at 3:31...the fuck?

Jones is a violent communist radical. I would not want him developing ANY kind of curriculum for my children.
If this is the Aaron Williams story, Beck stated that if the incident happened as Jones stated then the officers should have been prosecuted. His problem was with Jones and his credibility. Given Jones background I share Becks scepticism about Jones. - 2 years ago

Actually Beck is credible. It's Jones, and people like him, we need to be wary of.

Well he had a relationship with STORM ( Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement) which I understand considered Mao as their ideological leader. As if that little tidbit is not enough his actions in advocating for Mumia Abu-Jamal makes him at least a certified crackpot. Yeah, I would consider him at least a communist. Since I consider communism itself an abhorrent political system and a danger to our freedoms I would freely lump Jones in with the other bad guys out there.

Hmm.
I admit I'm not familiar with STORM, and that does sound quite sketchy.
However, the Mumia Abu-Jamal verdict is by no means without prejudicial and racist undercurrents. Whether he's guilty or not, I can't say. But being grounds for proof that someone is "Communist" based on their support for a retrial, seems a bit silly.
As for Beck being credible, I'll say that I appreciate that he's listening to Alex Jones, getting some of those crazy ideas out there. Otherwise, he seems to be interested in growing a culture of fear disguised as empowerment. To me, that is a nefarious goal.
The mere fact that Beck's pulpit is embedded deep within the bowels of an extreme Right-wing mouthpiece which masquerades as a news outlet, should be enough to discredit him.

Did you just say Beck is credible?
I hope you meant Beck the singer, because Glen Beck has no credibility whatsoever. Half of what he says has been proven to be lies, and the other half is the ramblings of a paranoid schizophrenic having a mental breakdown on the air.
He is two steps away from becoming David Icke ranting about the lizard people.

Most of the radio stations that carried his radio show have already dropped him, mostly due to low ratings. Perhaps he'll soon only be able to stand on a street corner with a megaphone. Then, he will be subject to a 5150.

Police brutality is a serious issue that runs through a society that is desensified by violent images on T.V. A group of violent NRA members, KKK, enhanced interogations and others. Until as a society we decided to end violence " death penalty" we will not stop police violence.

Van Jones obviously wasn't condemning all police, but you can't condemn police brutality without actually condemning the police.
A may disagree with Van Jones on many issues and what he stands for, but I applaud any politician/mouthpiece who even dares to address police brutality.

Beck warps anything and everything Van Jones has ever said to make him appear like the bogeyman. I think Beck is actually addicted to misinforming people. He can't get enough of it. He follows certain people that he disagrees with and listens closely for anything that he can take out of context and makes it into a controversy. What a putz.
