    • Well thank God the corporations are doing well!! I mean, how could they not with all those overseas laborers in jobs that used to be here. You have to wonder what part of "clueless comment" she doesn't understand.

And now for some irony. Those corporations still receive tax subsides and are financed by the same Wall Street that we bailed out in 2008.

    • OMFG!!! did you hear?!
      2.5 trillion in cash. TRILLION!

      the jobs are coming.
that's why the jobs were gone, the corporations were getting taxed to death, and the economic uncertainty wasn't helping, and then the credit tightening up because of the economic crash had people needing to cut payroll.

but now they KNOW they're not going to pay taxes, for YEARS to come, and they don't have a need for credit with all that cash burning a hole in their pockets. so hey... the jobs are coming. obviously the corporations want to hire people and spend money on payroll. even if the middle class has no money to buy products and services-- they'll just hire people to stand around.

they LOVE paying people these corporations. JOBS ARE COMING.

Corporate American has never been taxed to death. Although the PUBLISHED tax rate makes US Corporations the second highest taxed in the World, the ACTUAL taxes paid makes US corporations some of the lowest taxed on the planet. I mean lets face it, if you pay no US federal taxes, that's pretty low. In 2009 Exxon Mobil and GE posts tens of billions in profit, and paid zero federal taxes. GE even claimed a 45 million dollar tax credit! Since then we've found out this represent the just the tip of tip of the no tax iceberg. 75% of ALL US businesses paid no federal income tax at LEAST once in the last five years. I mean really, does it get any better than that?

    • Don't you love these TV economic "experts?" They know all the answers, don't they? How come they can never predict the crashes before they happen? They can sit there and sing the praises of how well corporate America is doing with their 2.5 trillion on their balance sheets but what the hell are they doing to stimulate this economy by investing in American workers? Nothing. But don't take away those CEO's ridiculous salaries and bonuses. Maria B. is a bimbo to Jim Cramer's mimbo.

i was going to say a similar thing.

after the job that Jon Stewart did on Jim Cramer I fucking hate MSNBC now. they CAN predict the crashes, they know what's going on, they know what they're doing. but its better to not scare investors, it's not good for ratings if they start telling you the market is shaky and you should not invest for a while.

they're assholes and i seriously completely hate their faces-- all of 'em.

hey, we've had our differences, but you're a smart guy... maybe you can help me out with this... MSNBC.... the MS stands for microsoft... MSNBC is left leaning, correct? but doesnt Microsoft own part of fox or murdock has something to do with microsoft, which is why beck is telling people not to use google... right? maybe you or somebody else has the info on this situation... seems fishy to me

      never heard anything like that.
but my perception of what has happened would suggest that murdoch/fox has nothing with MS.

*first of, murdoch put The Daily, and iPad only newspaper-- that wouldn't have happened.
*the google hatred is independent of other companies, murdoch feels they steal content and don't help the author enough (financially, obviously)
*there's no way murdoch would have bought into an existing deal, or start a deal that included nbc. he doesn't like them, he wants to own everything, he doesn't merger like other companies do.

but i'm not remotely an expert on this, so if you hear or someone gives you different, the ok...

    • The Oligarch's Prayer

      Our Oligarch, who art ensconced
      Hallowed be thy Cash
      Thy Penthouse come
      Thy Will be done
on all Earth as it is on Wall Street.

Please, give this day our daily bread,
      And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive Oligarchs who trespass against us.
And lead us not into freedom,
      but deliver us from dignity.

      For thine is the Kingdom,
      the power and the Oligarchy,
      for ever and ever.
      Amen.

    • "WE still have a GLUT of supply in housing."
I want to throw up, this c'o'nt is calling millions of Americans losing their homes a GLUT.
And that doofus just rolls along with it.

Now the rich are planning on blowing up that same energy bubble that helped to crash the economy the first time by betting that we will pay $5 or more for a gallon of gas.
And they're already pulling out the BS excuse that the price is rising because of China and India. Remember when drill, baby, drill promised to drop the price of gas by 10 cents within 15 years. Looked a little moronic when the speculation market crashed and prices plummeted.
What a bunch of unfeeling corpirate drones, but as long as they have their shit the rise in prices is an inconvenience. What's an extra couple hundred bucks in the tank of your limo when you're making millions?

    • This is really cutting into people's disposable income. What the hell is it doing to those who do not have disposable income? That is the disconnect. People on TV think everyone has money to throw away.

well jon stewart made an excellent point... when the tax breaks for the wealthy came to the table, those making over a quarter of a million were considered on the poverty line... now those making under 50k are fat cats...
and hillary clinton made an excellent point as well... america has abandoned real news...

and we end up with shit like this...

In the USA if you are poor and not a "consumer" you do not matter. Because to be poor in the USA means you are either stupid or lazy or both and must be treated as such.
Most people in TV have long forgotten, if they ever knew, what it is like to have to feed your kids ramen-noodles or mac & cheese! Also, if you are poor you probable do not have premium cable service anyway. Why do you think all the ads on morning TV are for luxury cars and travel vacations?

    • CNBC, aren't these the same people who told us everything was fine just before the thieves of wall street took all of out money? It is just hard to watch the "News" anymore. You have to watch it with a permanent filter on in you mind.

LOL...I mean that almost every single person I talk to think that what she says is totally logical. They believe that we have to keep doing what we are doing, even though that is exactly what got us to the point we are at now.

Well I agree with that; however, as I think you'll agree, just because everyone thinks something, doesn't make it so. And, to call her ideology logical is a gross scientific mis-statement!
