People Of Earth: Prepare For Economic Disaster

Image

It is not just the United States that is headed for an economic collapse. The truth is that the entire world is heading for a massive economic meltdown and the people of earth need to be warned about the coming economic disaster that is going to sweep the globe. The current world financial system is based on debt, and there are alarming signs that the gigantic global debt bubble is getting ready to burst. In addition, global prices for the key resources that the major economies of the planet depend on are rising very rapidly. Despite all of our advanced technology, the truth is that human civilization simply cannot function without oil and food. But now the price of oil and the price of food are both increasing dramatically. So how is the current global economy supposed to keep functioning properly if it soon costs much more to ship products between continents? How are the billions of people that are just barely surviving today supposed to feed themselves if the price of food goes up another 30 or 40 percent? For decades, most of the major economies around the globe have been able to take for granted that massive amounts of cheap oil and massive amounts of cheap food will always be there. So what happens when that paradigm changes?

    • The whole thing is a scam of biblical proportions they are hording the crops in storage facilities and slowing production of oil to create a massive failure then the new world government will step in where every resource and country would have to yield to their demands or suffer.

I am from Canada, how exactly is this new world order supposed to convince us that we don't have any food anymore? What are they going to do to take down the society here?

The only scenario that I can think of is an invasion of americans running the border.
That would be hell on earth. I would rather see special "camps" set up in the states than an invasion of starving yanks, begging for food.

    • Human civilization can't function without oil? Funny... we existed just fine for centuries without it. What I want to know is how this story got pushed into the top 20. Something odd seems to be going on.

Taken in context the article is obviously referring to our civilization at this moment in time, not our civilization in general - and in that context that statement is true. And while I disagree with some of the opinions presented, the general gist of the article is true. Things like sharply rising food prices and a shortage of potable drinking water. What exactly do you find odd?

    • Well written and well said. We need people to start preparing for this. Those who do prepare will fare ever so slightly better! However, we're going to have to, first and foremost, get use to human death on a massive scale. Us monkey folks can't procreate our way out of this problem.

    • Imagine no possessions
      I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
      A brotherhood of man
      Imagine all the people
      Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

    • Buy as many guns and ammo as possible, store food and water when able. This is what Mormon church insiders are telling thier flock, what a great religion.

    • We will all have to understand that the oil producing countries of yesterday are no more. Regardless what sort of leadership will take over in the Middle East, things will be different.
Food is traded as a commodity thanks to American greed, and there are many people in the world starving while we are the fattest nation in the world, and probably half of our food goes into the garbage.

Yes, we need to rethink our values, we do.

As far as the global economy, I would predict that the more we have to serve just interest payments the harder it will be to balance a budget. The Fed has to keep interest rate low because they believe it will stimulate growth and employment. Our labor forces are antiquated and not flexible. Government should have a serious program to train those unemployed that can't find work into something that is actually needed on the labor market. The unions, God I love them, but they are very inflexible as well and should also use some of their horded money to invest in apprenticeship programs for youth that may not be college material so that at age 16 they could go into a apprenticeship program and only one or two days in school to become skilled in some sort of trade. We need to become more innovative because other countries are not sleeping. A governor in Florida who refused to go into the 21st century with a high speed train just because it is a democratic idea is hurting this state and a prime example of why we need to always find ways to work together.

Last but not least, once interest payments become too burdensome for this government they will go out and have a big summit with the leaders of other industrial countries and they will start a new currency, a global currency, you watch. And then we will start at zero again.... it happened, go read up on the Weimarer Republic.

    • Geez-zus! If you looked up and documented all the times that NutZ told us that "The End Is Nigh" we'd be dead 40-'Leven times over.

      Are things bad? Yes.
      Could they get worse? Yes
      Could they get better? Yes.

Keep in mid that things were Much Worse in the 30s. Also, people are gonna fight to keep the things they need with much ferocity this time.

Look as Wisconsin. Look at the fact there are many people in positions of power who know how things could go and are fighting to make sure they stand up to correct the situation and will keep presenting the needed information as long as they are able.

Keep in mind that we have means at our disposal that the People did not have in the 30s.

Whack-jobs are always trying to separate you from your money and your sanity.

      Tell 'em to P#@$^% off.

    • Oil the blood that feeds commerce. Unless we can push these oil barons out and find an alternative source for moving the food and goods, I fear for the poor people that have land that is unfit to produce food.
Hunger will be rampant more so than now.

    • Cut out wall-street and the focus on local production of food instead of crops just for money and total failure can be avoided. The land is there, the labor is there. To much greed is fucking everyone. Oil can be replaced and it should be. Fuck Exxon! Nationalize all oil.

    • Most people want to deny that such a thing could happen. They must believe that there is a magical unending supply of oil. Peak oil is very real, and it would behoove us to prepare for it.

For free energy, I've got my money on Nassim Haramein. He has figured out the geometry of the quantum vacuum while solving Einstein's unified field theory, and is gathering resources to build his crystalline based device. To the future.
