Libya’s Muammar Qaddafi announced the other day that the problems in Libya were being caused by, are you sitting down? Al Qaeda. It sounds absurd, doesn’t it? But why does it sound absurd? Qaddafi is trying to use the grounds of a foreign insurgency to justify his own use of military power to put down a domestic insurrection. The man is crazy, right? A raving lunatic, right? But aren’t these the same grounds given to by George W. Bush and Barack Obama for our own wars?
