    • Declaring independence from the corporate media is a great idea. What we do on this site is evidence of that. If all progressive-minded people keep open the channels of communication with one another we can see that the real truth gets spread around. Of course, that will be a little different with each person. But we will at least be able to see and evaluate many different sources that would never see the light of day on corporate broadcast news. Part of the control apparatus that is designed to keep us in the dark is the suppression of news that might lead to worker awareness. That awareness has to do with suppressing labor history, suppressing information regarding rights in the workplace and suppressing current labor news. This includes giving little or no air time to labor officials.
