ESPN is an American network that relates to games. ESPN is an abbreviation of Entertainment and Sports Programming Network. The network was launched in 1979 by and his Bill Rasmussen and his son. They started the channel to cover the news of sports in Connecticut, and he bought a 24 hour national wide network. Today ESPN is owned by The Walt Disney Company and Hearst Corporation, 80% and 20% respectively.
