McKean County PA apparently kept a $30,000 settlement secret since June of last year. The settlement was made to a WWII veteran who was 86-years-old when he was roughly arrested by the McKean County sheriff in an incident that was captured on video and ended up on YouTube. From what I can recall about the case the dispute between the two began over an attempt to pay bail.

    • I have a wonderful son who is an honorable Police Officer. My son-in-law is an honorable Police Officer in another department. I know most of their colleagues in another departments and they are some of the finest men and women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I thoroughly resent a few bad apples making the good ones look bad! Whether you agree or not, the good ones out number the bad ones and they place their life on the line every time they stop a car, take a domestic call, go after a criminal, bust a drug gang, and protect your asses on a daily basis. I am sorry for getting worked up but this is just wrong. It gets me how people hate and disrespect policemen.... until they need them!

      Your statement about the good outnumbering the bad really depends on where on live. It depends on the chief and on the city. I live in the country and we have a mixed bag. Unfortunately the bad ones don't get fired they get transfered; like pedophile priests!

      I keep trying to reform my bad attitude against the police, and people keep posting stuff like this, and these cops just piss me off more and more all the time. They truly are like a licensed gang of criminals at times...and it seems like the fatter they are, the more likely they are to aggressively go after the weak and defenseless. What the hell is in those donuts?

      If they did something like that to my dad, I wouldn't live to tell the story. Every one of the dickheads in that video is a fat fucker, and that blonde just stands there with her arms crossed like this is a perfectly normal thing for police to do to an old man. Fuck her too.

      Still waiting for real change we can believe in.

      I was homeless back in 1988. I was travelling through Duarte, CA, and fell asleep at a buss stop near the Hyundai dealership. A lady sheriff stopped and shouted out her window, "wake the fuck up!". I was told to leave. Later that evening, I was trying to get a ride on a freeway off-ramp when she and another car pulled up with 2 more deputies. They proceeded to break 3 of my ribs, 4 fingers, accompanied by multiple shots to the back of my knees with nightsticks. Left for dead, they said I had 15 minutes to "get out of town" and laughed as they got in their cars! I was taken to John Wayne Airports ER by a compassionate shuttle driver who rescued me just before they came back to dispose of me for good. I think about those assholes every morning as I struggle to get out of bed!
      Karma to that pigwhore that started it all!
