I believed this post and was foolish, no stupid, enough to pass it along to others; which makes me as culpable in passing unsubstantiated rumors and innuendo as Faux News.
Thank you, to the individual who posted this and set back the veracity of this site for some time to come. I took a shower and still feel like Bill O'Reilly, thanks so very much. - 1 year ago

At least you have the sense to admit your mistake. Too many people are quick to assume stories that support a rigid viewpoint are true. If something is truly evil, objective scrutiny without assumption or prejudice, will show it to be so. It will show it in detail. It'll also avoid unfair and false opinions.

I will say, if I was less that 300 klicks from Nuclear meltdown and couldn't get any information, I'd panic too,
But, obviously this guy (perhaps that should be pronounced "Gee?) has access to the internet, so, I'm thinking he's so panicked he's not thinking straight, or he's trying to make a point about how Japanese Gov't isn't saying anything.
Have been visiting with friends who served in in capacities in Japan where they'd have some understanding of Gov't culture there. Gov't there is likely to give out LESS info than we'd get in most western countries.

and there you go again...the self-appointed queen of what is or is not news, calling some guy who lives in Japan and is obviously frightened by the complete lack of media coverage a silly clown with a bad accent.
Sorry, but I find your comments lacking in content, callous and mean spirited.

According to this story, the US military has blocked access for Defense Dept. workers due to bandwidth problems in the area.
How does anyone come to the conclusion the US military is blocking youtube in Japan by watching this video?

There is more than the US operating behind the scenes here. Our military has become the military police of a much larger entity:
Notice the symbol from the Trilateral Commission webpage. Isn't it interesting when you compare it to the symbol for recycling? On the recycle symbol, all of the arrows point to each other in a revolving circle, whereas in this symbol, all of the arrows point inward. The one suggests a concentration of resources and power, whereas the other suggests a revolving distribution of resources and power.

Care to actually refute with something other than your usual baseless rebuttal?
How much do you know about the Trilateral Commission...probably not much.
And as for noting the difference between what is being communicated by two very prominent symbols in our world, it's thought provoking and doesn't require a tin foil hat. Reading symbols is something we should all do, but I was trained to do it, part of my education.

Yes, you completely avoided my question.
How much do you know about the Trilateral Commission? This is a typical response for you. You declare something to be associated with something else, and therefore think you have made a valid point, but attaching names like conspiracy theorist to things you don't know anything about doesn't make it so, nor does it associate my comments with any other extremist group. Not everything out there can be neatly divided up into the categories people like you are comfortable with, and it would be wise for you to know more about what you are critiquing before you go making the sanctimonious and broad generalizations you are so well known for on this site. Being informed gives you a right to make a comment or express an opinion, but you rarely provide informed comments or opinions, just negative judgments about things you generally know nothing about.

I told you the trilateral commission has been, and continues to be, a scapegoat for the simple minded and other fools deluded by conspiracy theories.
I am surprised that you would be suckered into such silly non-sense. Those who embrace conspiracy theories tend to be in denial about real problems in their lives, displacing their anxiety upon paranoid fantasy.
Perhaps some counseling is in order my friend.

been reading about them since the late seventies, not deluded, just aware. Maybe there are conspiracy theorists out there who have latched on to certain precepts in their founding documents, but the Trilateral Commission is a very powerful group of people who make a lot of decisions the uninformed know nothing about. You writing them off with nothing but baseless accusations about conspiracy theories, simple-mindedness and fools does nothing to demonstrate that you actually know a thing about who they are or what they do, and taking it a step further to tell me that I am displacing anxiety because I casually point to their existence and symbolism from time to time doesn't do anything but prove your ignorance, an ignorance you defend with name calling and finger pointing. Pointing out how something is being USED is not the same as knowing anything about it. I am well aware of the extremist positions on the Trilateral Commission, but I am also aware of who they are and what their purpose is. Did it ever occur to you that the extremist positions on the Trilateral Commission provide an excellent smoke screen to keep people who might object to their agenda from investigating it?
You are not ALWAYS right Uni, I know that may be a hard pill for you to swallow, but you are dead wrong on this one.

Not disputing that, and will continue to respect your point of view, but my significant claim here is that while that may be true, the Trilateral Commission is much more than what conspiracy theorists or right wing nut jobs make of it, and I'll leave it at that, since I don't wish to alienate myself from you or your point of view.
"Rules, or laws, have no causal efficacy; they do not in fact “generate” anything. They serve merely to describe regularities and consistent relationships in nature. These patterns may be very illuminating and important, but the underlying causal agencies must be separately specified (though often they are not). But that aside, the game of chess illustrates precisely why any laws or rules of emergence and evolution are insufficient. Even in a chess game, you cannot use the rules to predict “history” — i.e., the course of any given game. Indeed, you cannot even reliably predict the next move in a chess game. Why? Because the “system” involves more than the rules of the game. It also includes the players and their unfolding, moment-by-moment decisions among a very large number of available options at each choice point. The game of chess is inescapably historical, even though it is also constrained and shaped by a set of rules, not to mention the laws of physics. Moreover, and this is a key point, the game of chess is also shaped by teleonomic, cybernetic, feedback-driven influences. It is not simply a self-ordered process; it involves an organized, “purposeful” activity." (Corning 2002)

This is disturbing. However, I never trust the government for directions in an emergency so in the event of anything questionable, I am ready to just go.
My advise to you, my friend, is to get out of at least a hundred mile radius of Fukushima.
