Based on reliable psychological predictors, Keith Olbermann is a likely suicide candidate, possibly a murder/suicide. In my extensive doctoral research on sociopaths specializing in people who gained official or de facto official positions in society Mr. Olberman stands out. This is especially dangerous because these types of people have the protection of some established authority. The classic examples are many, but not all, of the officials in Nazi Germany. Olbermann’s recent remark about how abortion would have been good for a female political commentator is very telling of the frustrations of intelligent but ultimately frustrated public figures. This and his self implosion work history indicate an increasing level of auto criticism which often covers dangerous self hatred. Unless this is recognized and defused these types of people end up taking their lives in a sudden, unexpected, episode.

Stefan_G:
I suspect your "extensive doctoral research" is fully encompassed but this one paragraph. Every legitimate psychologist would argue that nobody is in a position to render a diagnosis without actually having that person as a patient. If you are doing doctoral research, start over.

If Keith Olbermann does for Current what he did for ESPN, FauxSports, CCNBC, there's really gonna be some people seriously pissed.
I'm ready.
Thanks, pewestlake
