Dusty, I posted the video. I have gone to the blog that I found the article, and I went to the Youtube page and heard that thousands of people are sick and dying. And some people are sick without even realizing that it's from the water.

I posted this video for people like yourself. The Gulf is my hometown, where I grew up. I know what's going on. My little brother went swimming THIS weekend, in the Gulf and had to get out of the water because he became red, itchy, and burning. Not from the Sun! Stay strong. I am spreading the word for you.

    • This is no different than the first responders that are dying from being at ground zero.

From a financial standpoint, it's much cheaper to pay wrongful death suits than it is to pay for medical treatment.

These people might want to check to see if BP has life insurance policies on them also.

Very sad, but not surprising in the slightest.

    • Has anyone seen that new BP commercial where they stated that everything was ok because they put forth all of they're efforts and fixed everything. Makes me wonder why we let so many blind and careless people have so much power.

I think you are missing a key point...

Fox News reports a bias representation of reality, just like CNN and MSNBC. A perspective. However, it's not about the articles, segments and commentary (although I would like to slap Glenn Beck)...it's about what we (the listeners) have to say about it. I watch MSNBC, but I also watch Fox too. Information is key. And the reason I say that is because we (liberals) can't defeat something or someone (conservatives) of whom we don't truely understand. The only reason Fox News has the ratings it does is because the people that watch it (conservatives) are gullible, while the rest of us watch/read other sources but we are too lazy to care enough to be taken-in by it, let alone act out against it.

      Both are equally suspect.

Now that I said that, here is the point you're missing.

We (the readers/listeners/watchers) GIVE Current their credibility. We decide what is and is not 'worthy' news. If it doesn't represent what we want to see here, then we shoot it down...it's that simple. In this type of media environment, you can 'shoot the messenger'.

    • Even if one person (helping in the clean up efforts) has died due to the BP disaster, that would be a tragedy, but unless there is confirmed & verified documentation of "thousands dying" I don't like the sensationalist headline in this thread.

If we keep doing this, we're going to make Fox News look fair & balanced.

Of course, that is what people were saying about the ground zero first responders. This may just be the beginning.

But, you are right about the title of the article itself, alitle 'Foxish' or 'Dailey News'. :)

Hello, I am the one who posted this. If you actually go to the blog that I found this video, and you watch ALL of the videos of the people who posted on Youtube about this, you will hear the numbers. I can not do all of the research for everyone.

It's a bit early to tell since the problem is far from being over. Time will tell. Babies are still being born deformed as a result of Tchernobyl, children are still developing cancers and other diseases, some of them develop five or six chronic conditions as a result of Tchernobyl. The situation is even worse in Kazakhstan where the Soviets did their nuclear bomb testings during the Cold War.

The radioactivity reached high enough levels to stop military helicopters to dump water on the plants, which means very high indeed - it therefore was outside of the plant, and radioactivity doesn't stay confined inside an invisible bubble, it will go where the wind and the rain will take it. Furthermore, the crisis is far from being over, they haven't yet got the reactors under control. See http://tinyurl.com/68g2246

One of the burning reactors' fuel is a combination of uranium and plutonium. This is a dire situation that can well last a long time and get much, much worse, which is why I think that it is far too early to make any definite statement, pronouncement or analysis.

I understand your sentiment though. More people have died from the oil spill than the Nuclear Waste in Japan. Both are equally important. Both Nuclear and Oil are forms of Energy. After these huge disasters we must all stand together and fight for CLEAN POSITIVE ENERGY. Wind, Tide, Solar, Electromagnetic and Hemp Fuel. We do not need to kill people, marine life, animal species, our oceans, all for oil. We don't. Bikes can make energy. I posted it on my page!!
