When the government does not function and operate according to the principle's of the constitution, and does not respond to the will of the people, and only the people, and does not completely free itself of it's addiction to the influence of money other than from the people, then it deserves to be dissolved. I assert this most dispassionately. Because in such circumstances, it is no longer a government of the people, and is no longer constitutionally mandated. Therefore, and in the event that government continues to collaborate to oppress, deprive and financially rape the people, "Every American citizen needs to know they have the right (which was declared in the Declaration of Independence) to peacefully take control of their country from their government, in order to establish a new and better government. They also need to know they have a formal process (DDT/EDT) so they can exercise that right. Serious problems in serious times, demand serious solutions."
Declaration of Dissolution and Termination
"When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for the people to dissolve and terminate the political bands which have connected them to their government. They have a duty and the right to assume and reassert their supreme power over themselves and government. A decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel the separation by means of Dissolution and Termination."

"The present system of government is fundamentally flawed and responsible for numerous offenses against the people and the world at large. At its very core resides a resident fraud and because of this fraud, almost every action and resolve put forth by the government is a mockery of Justice, Democracy, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The government of the United States is for sale to the highest bidder. That goes for its policies, both foreign and domestic, that can be bought by both foreign and domestic interests alike."
Therefore, we are herein compiling a list of all individual grievances and reform demands to be cited on the list being presented to government, and we ask all who can articulate a demand to remedy a grievance of the people, to list them hereafter.
Included are:
To dissolve any government affiliation with, and support of, The Federal Reserve, which has facilitated the financial rape and pillage of this nation and it's people, by the privately owned banking systems of this country.
Further, we require the institution of a national public bank, owned exclusively by the people, for the exclusive benefit of the people, which will afford the people an alternative to doing business with private banks.
Further, we require Federal support for the instituting of state public banks, in every state which desires to institute public banks.
Further, we require the reinstitution of the "Fairness Doctrine", with staunch penalties for willfully and knowingly publishing false, misleading and untruthful information.
Further, we require a completely independent and entirely publicly supported media, to include radio, t.v. and internet. This is to have entitlement funding not subject to any change of governing administration. As this media is the people's media, at the people's expense, we require that there be no central facility for muting or shutting down the communicating and distribution channels of our media.
Further, we require complete and total "Net Neutrality", applicable to those internet channels that will coexist with the people's own internet.
Further, to insure that every citizen has access to the minimum healthcare necessary to maintain optimal health, we require universal provision of that minimal healthcare.
Further, to insure that our government will always be responsive and accountable to the people of the United States, we require that fixed and equal public funding, and exclusively public funding, be given to every federal candidate running for public office, who meets threshold qualifying criteria.
Further, to insure equal means for each federal office candidate to present their views, positions and virtues to the public, we forbid any corporate, business, foreign or personal money to be utilized in any way, in any candidate's campaign process. Any violation of these laws are considered a treasonous attack upon the people and the integrity of the people's government, and subject to the harshest penalties of the land. These laws also apply to all state and municipal elections. However, the federal government will not have the right to determine the amount of campaign funding for state and municipal candidates.
Further, as corporations do not substantively share in the rights, obligations and characteristics of individual citizens of the United States, such as having the right to an individual vote in elections, the right to public education, subject to call to military service, subject to jury duty and so many more distinctions between the two, we deny and disallow the concept of "corporate personhood". Any instance of any form of business, attempting to bribe, seduce or induce congressional votes, is considered an attack upon the sovereignty of the people and the government of the people, and will be judged as treason against the people.
This DDT/EDT is to serve as an outline, to be modified and improved upon by all of those who choose to participate in the process.
This is a beginning of the list, which we invite and encourage all to contribute to. Please do, at your earliest convenience.

Oh I have an item or seven to add to the list, remove the legislative powers of all organizations that are not run by representatives chosen by the people in a democratic fashion, Example, EPA, FDA, FAA et cetera that are agencies capable of passing policies/laws within which the people's views have not been represented during thier formation.
I would also like a federally supported recall/impeachment process that is universal, clean and simple, and doesn't contain any nonsesnse about having to serve a year before recall can take place. Also if a recall petition crosses the mark where 50% of the constituancy or more signs the recall should be nearly automatic, as this represents a clear choice by the people for the peoples governance.
I would also like to see articles pertaining to the over expansion of our military, our standing military should not be any larger then what is necessary for defense of our own Soverignitym and should never be used to push political agendas of ANY type over seas.
As far as the "fairness" doctrine goes it must include culpability for ALL involved in dissemination of false information. Those who own the media outlets involved, thier boards or directors, the station and program managers who accept thier orders, the writers and scripters who include the inaccuracies in thier work knowingly, and the talking heads who speak the words, Use perhaps some of the internal workings of the "Rico Act" for wordings on multipersonage culpability.
The term "Net Nuetrality" as it stands today has too many meanings to use it as such, perhaps including a definition of net nuetraility would be of great benefit here to prevent those who would reading something into the intent that is not really there.
If any aspects of "Coorporate Personhood" are to be retained, then incuded in these should be all forms of miscreantism that would carry culpability for anyone described as having a "personhood" such as lible, defamation, slander, plagerism, theft, manslaughter, murder, destruction of property, political tampering, et cetera and that all persons involved in these activities through intellectual creators of the actions to the janitors that clean up the following mess are responsible as individuals for thier own actions within these crimes against the people.

Thunderstorms and cold snaps have affected voter turnout, particularly among the poor, who tend to vote Democratic. When you think about it, having elections in November favors rich conservatives in the parts of the country where the temp is already dipping.

Thanks SIBob. You bet we will keep this story alive long after the media lets go of it. The only people that are still keeping up with WI politics is Keith (on his web site), Rachel and big Ed. We have protests everyday in Madison. I wanted to go again this past weekend but the weather isn't cooperating and this coming weekend isn't looking good either. Just because it's Spring here in WI, doesn't mean a thing. We are returning to winter weather starting tomorrow. Today is horrible....all day rain and damp and in the 30's. I will go to Madison again as soon as the weather improves. I just can't take standing out in the damp, wet and cold weather anymore.

Demand is what we must do. This being the “spring of our discontent”, it’s time to make it happen. We have to make the political/corporate alliance pay attention to us. They cannot be allowed to get away with the theft of everything that we have left. Enough is enough. Millions of the unemployed are being swept under the rug through stigmatization and neglect. We should not walk quietly away into the wilderness of homelessness and despair. We are all human beings with collective needs that must be met. Like I have been hearing at the pro-Wisconsin rallies in NYC……Tax The Rich!!!!!!!!

And a way to monitor their performance, track their progress that is easy to understand and access and uses a common format - free of charge.
This historical “report card” would be completed by each elected person - let’s say every 6 months. It would include things like how they voted on issues, their attendance record, top contributors etc…

I did not know that - I will go check it out. When I look at what is availble on the internet now the information is available from different agencies but is not consolidated into one place/format.
I was thinking that the elected person would fill out this report instead of someone interpreting their performance. There are pros and cons to both ways.
I also wanted it for our local city and state elected people.
Also if you have held any office prior you need a resume, again with the same type information.

Totally agree- How about adding a salary cap; perferably a small cap. If they're in politics for the people (like EVERY one of them claim) then the pay shouldn't really matter. Really their kids get to go to the pricy private schools where they are groomed to be the next political leader with a fat head.They get to drive their brand new BMWs and Mercedes, vacation in Europe and wear designer clothes and in the mean time the other 99% are lucky if we can read by the time we graduate, drive around in a car that's about 1 mile from blowing up and what's a vacation?

I like the report card idea licentious and voted it up. I would like to add another provision as well. I propose that citizen overseers be assigned to each congressman/woman and senator. Their job would be to stick to the congressmen/woman and senator like glue. They would be allowed to sit in on every meeting, every phone calls, everything the official does, LOL-except when they go pee. They would be given authority to watch, listen, take notes of every committee meeting, votes on legislation, lunches with their cronies..everything!

Ok, so since I have seen so many of the 'regulars' commenting on this story (kennymotown, twinite, arizona huey, commonsenseforcommongood) I will conclude that this is a true and earnest plea for change in our country. That said, while my husband was channel surfing a few minutes ago he happened on a story about THIS on that-news-channel-that-shall-remain-nameless. So if they are talking about this, will the other news channels start reporting on it, or will it simply be ignored as being one more tea party piece of insanity?
I agree with arizona huey's 'pragmatic party' and its platform. The truth is we could put this forward immediately -- the democratic party; the republican party; and the PRAGMATIC party. In all actuality, the pragmatists among us realize there are good points in the democratic platform, as well as the republican (well, not really, I just added them so it wouldn't seem like I was ignoring them), so the PRAGMATIC party would incorporate the good parts of the old, outdated parties while adding points that are needed in this new millenium.

that is an idea which I consider frequently. my concern is, that so many democrats and "independents'; which I am one of, are strongly committed to voting democratic. That essentially splits the left's vote in two. By default, repubs win.
i'm beginning to think we may have to put up a contender to run against Obama for the democratic ticket.
of course, what we need and are looking for, is an end run around this entire process.

I personally demand all people running for political office to pass a basic intelligence test, I mean we make our mail carriers take a civil service exam, but all our candidates need is a registration fee. This will help to remove the Brewers, Palin's and O`Donnells of the elections.

Good luck with that! Instead of overthrowing the entire government, how about we start with a few basic principals and go from there. Here is my Pragmatic Party platform:
1 - NO contributions to politicians from ANYBODY or ANY ENTITY! If you want to donate to the process, your donations go to a central fund and it is doled out equally to each candidate! PERIOD. No gifts, no lunches, no trips, no speaking fees, rent subsidies - NOTHING can be exchanged or given to a political candidate or party. It is Federally monitored and administrated and that is it.
2 - The public airwaves: We need to bring back the restrictions that were in place to stop the Rupert Murdochs of the world from consuming and controlling the vast majority of the media outlets and blatantly skewing the news to support their political agenda. The logistics need to be ironed out but the bottom line is, there needs to be fully funded public news outlets free of ownership views and biases.
3 - Create a centralized database per election that has non biased information on both opposing candidates and/or issues up for public vote. This website will have truthful and in-depth information on each subject so the voter can get a meaningful education on each candidate and each ballot issue. It should be required reading before given the right to vote in the election. Obviously great strides would have to be taken to ensure each and every citizen had access to it and understood its contents.
4 - Revamping of the tax code that requires any and all businesses that profit from sales and services in the US and to its citizens to actually pay taxes!!! The code needs to be revisited to ensure we find the correct tax rate to avoid over-burdening a company while making sure they pay their fair share.
5 - Revamping the tax code to ensure the wealthiest of our country do pay their fare share. I most certainly do not want to lay the entire burden on their backs but when Warren Buffet's secretary pays more in taxes then he does, there is obviously a problem.
6 - Impose a system that taxes/fees a company that outsources American jobs off-shore. If you want to operate in the US and make gross profits here while outsourcing all of your work outside the borders - then you need to pay for that right.
7 - Strict enforcement over Wall St. It has been proven time and time again that leaving people to police themselves and do the right and moral thing when surrounded by type of cash and potential profits will corrupt them absolutely 100% of the time. The price we pay in this regulation can come nowhere close to the damage they have inflicted on the citizens of this country!
8 - Universal health-care for all US citizens if they want it. Health-care for profits creates an amazingly huge conflict of interest and the US citizen will lose every single time! I don't want to eliminate any business but creating a public option will most certainly bring them back into reality and force them to stop killing its customers in lieu of more cash.
9 - ENOUGH of the NRA's assertions that guns don't kill people. I don't want to take away the right to own your own guns, however, this stupidity to allow anybody and everybody to purchase assault weapons and extended gun magazines has to stop! Gun shows need to be regulated just as much as a gun shop. There is no reason anybody needs a weapon that can fire 100 rounds a minute.
10 - Immigration reform - Enough of this stupidity as well. Put in sensible requirements to obtain citizenship, kick out all of the illegal criminal types, and put in place a chance for those that are here illegally to gain citizenship without getting tossed out of the country. To help stop the flow over the borders, that will now be the new year assignment for those recruits finishing boot camp. Each soldier will be required to work on the border with US Immigrations to protect our borders in a manner that makes sense, provides excellent training experience, and actually stops the flow of illegals into the country.
11 - Churches immediately lose their tax exempt status. I'm tired of how powerful these people have become on the backs of the US taxpayer. There will absolutely be a huge line drawn in the sand that ensures the separation of church and state exists and is heavily enforced. I'm tired of religion dictating and influencing the political discourse and decision making of this country. If you want to worship an invisible creator - knock yourself out. Just fund it yourself, pay taxes, and outside of the walls of your church or worship facility - STFU about it!!!
