Southern California Gas Prices Still Soaring

The seaside Southern California town of Coronado continues with super high gas prices reaching $4.84.

There was a steady flow of customers to pay the hefty prices.

    • i say screw the oil & coal companies and have them taking over by the government, it can solve a couple problems like the budget problem for one and then it would force all coal mines, mountain top, or oil rigs to fit all safety and enviromental regulations.

    • I don't understand why the federal government isn't reigning these thugs in. This is like public extortion, the persons responsible for this hike in prices are going to send a slow but climbing economy into a nose dive. What don't I understand about the politics of this situation. Is there nothing the federal government can do to put a stop to this? Couldn't they threaten to take away the oil subsidies if these companies don't cease immediately? Let's give their subsidies to new start up companies to come up with alternative solutions to oil and gas.
