As You Tube, Facebook and Twitter are blocked in China, microblogs are emerging in China to take their place. According to a Peking University professor, the leader of the pack of a dozen or so, is "Weibo", and is the defacto public forum for sharing non sanctioned information. Since information is exchanged before the government can respond to it, they have started their own propaganda microblogs
