This shit is irrelevant now. The magically found votes in the ultra conservative Waukesha country. All because some jackass "didn't hit save". 15,000 "missing votes" now has Prosser up by over 7,500 votes. Just enough to be enough.

Brookfield, WI is basically where all the white people moved when too many black people moved into Milwaukee.
Needless to say, today, Brookfield and the state of WI reeks of bullshit.

Lovely. Walker scapegoats a large WI population center for his own incompetence and unethical/fraudulent behavior as governor.
That should help him a lot in building up his state's GOP elected politician numbers in 2012.
Also, with the mood of WI now, it certainly isn't going to help stave off a successful Walker recall.

This is exactly how Sarah Palin talks about "Real" America ( rural and hillbilly ) as opposed to fake America ( blue states and cities ).
Walker is saying that Wisconsinites who live in Madison, WI are not "real" Wisconsinites.

If Walker believes Madison's residents are not "real Wisconsonites," then he might want to talk to the U.S. Census Bureau about it.
Apparently, the USCB thinks Madison is the second largest city in WI, with 233,209 REAL people in it.
Walker, by scapegoating the voters of Madison to hide his own incompetence, avarice and greed, just potentially alienated (as of July 2009) 163,583 voters.
With this kind of election-winning strategy, Walker should be immediately named as head of the RNC.
Somehow, I don't think he'll have to worry about taking the Koch-brothers' calls anymore.

I haven't been following this very closely. My support has leaned more toward Walker but that is due to the behavior of the opposition rather than Walker himself.
If the people of Wisconsin elect the liberal candidate, what's his name, oh hers, Kloppenburg ( you can tell I follow this closely) the state will, in all probability tip further toward bankruptcy. Oh well, Wisconsin can join the many other states in the same position.
Get ready. If this goes to recount there will be some election judge who "found" a bunch of ballots favorable to the liberal candidate in the trunk of his car. I wonder how many dead people, ineligible ones or illegals voted in this election. Crank out the fraud books libs it is your time to shine. Business as usual. This should provide hours of entertainment given the lefts propensity to lie, cheat and steal. Glad I don't live there. - 1 year ago

hmmmm, so now the WI supreme court will call the shots on the state budget? that might be the most stupid post I have read on here.
States in financial hot water and what have the GOP governors done? cut their state's income some more
As you righties are constantly doing, think of it as your own personal fnances: You had a job that you had continued to make a better income so you took on more debt, why not, you could afford it. Then your job got changed, you worked less hours and hence had a rather large reduction in income. What is the first thing you wll do? cut you expenses or look for alternative income? a little bit of both? But not these GOP govs, instead they told their emplyers to cut their income even more
and here YOU are saying that Mom and Dad (the supreme court) made you behave this way - 1 year ago

I grew up in North Central Wisconsin.
I have never ceased to find the practice of electing Supreme Court Justices in campaigns to be more than a little bizarre.Everyone is always complaining about the low-down dirty, mud-slinging political wrangling in the Legislature.
We've now seen firsthand the extraordinary lengths to which the Governor will go in order to score political points with his party's ideologue base. But the whole purpose behind having three separate and equal independent branches of government, and the system of checks and balances, is so that there might be at least one branch of the government that is above politics, and is NOT susceptible to the constantly-shifting whimsies of public opinion.
Judges are not supposed to make their rulings based upon what is or is not popular or unpopular.
They're supposed to rule based purely and solely upon the law, and the law alone.
But by forcing judges to campaign for election does precisely that, it makes their decisions biased towards what is popular, and against what is unpopular. If what was popular was always the same as what was right, then just how would one go about explaining the persisting existence of the "Teabagger" party?
The truth is that what is popular is, quite possibly, the very WORST possible metric to measure its validity.
Many of the greatest advancements in the known recorded history of modern western civilization as we know it have also been some of the LEAST popular. So by forcing judges to campaign for election and for re-election, we are eliminating, or the very least negating, the whole idea of UNbiased IMpartiality in our legal judicial court system.
Politics has no place in any decision that is ever made by a judge.
But anyone who has ever campaigned for anything, if only by that experience in and of itself, becomes a politician.
Once a politician, always a politician. (See: Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, etc. etc. etc.)
Shouldn't we have at least one branch of our government that is NOT made up entirely of ambition-hungry power-thirsty conniving political animals?I suppose that ship has now sailed in this particular case.

Gov. Scott Walker said this afternoon that the spring election results show there are "two very different worlds in this state."

Walker, Walker he's our Man
If he can't Steal it no one can"The comparison between Walker’s run for student body president and his showdown with labor leaders as governor is, of course, imperfect. But there certainly appears to be a defining trait that threads the two together. Rallies and protests often draw political figures, who recognize the importance of movement association. For Walker, the inclination has been to demonize the crowds.
Walker ended up losing the student body election. His 11th-hour brochure-dropping may have played a role. The student body newspaper had initially endorsed Walker’s opponent, John Quigley, but argued that both candidates could serve effectively. A few days later, the paper rescinded its quasi-endorsement of Walker, as shown below, due to Walker’s politicking.
In addition to the mudslinging brochures, the editorial board's later statement hinted disappointment that Walker campaign workers had thrown away issues of the paper under the mistaken belief that the initial editorial had been simply pro-Quigley and not essentially a joint endorsement. "

"A doctor from Israel says: "In Israel the medicine is so advanced that we cut off a man's testicles; we put them into another man, and in 6 weeks he is looking for work."
The German doctor comments: "That's nothing, in Germany we take part of the brain out of a person; we put it into another person's head, and in 4 weeks he is looking

A Russian doctor says: "That's nothing either. In Russia we take out half of the heart from a person; we put it into another person's chest, and in 2 weeks he is looking for work."The U.S. doctor answers immediately: "That's nothing my colleagues, you are way behind us....in the USA, about two months ago, we grabbed a person with no brains, no heart, and no balls....we made him Governor of Wisconsin, and now.......the whole state is looking for work!!!!!!"

Demtothecore and others who are still questioning the results of this election, my fellow Wisconsinite Scooter3282 said it best on another thread when he explained what took place last night perfectly. I can't say it any better:
"The progressives came out in force for this election which is why the usually sleepy Spring election turned into true political drama. There is always rampant electoral apathy in every election in every state, but it wasn't with the progressives this time. WI still has plenty of conservative voters who will vote ideology rather than whatever the political atmosphere of the moment may be. There is a blind loyalty for anything conservative in many counties in the state. That's not going to change over night. For a political novice, as Kloppenburg is, to have positioned herself for possible victory against an incumbent judge who has been on the bench for 10 years is rather remarkable. Two months ago there were very few who even knew who Joanne Kloppenburg was. It has been the progressives who have elevated her to the brink of a very large upset. To diminish that would be rather short sighted. As I am saying, there are plenty of conservatives who didn't view a vote for David Prosser as a referendum on Scott Walker in any way. They look to Prosser to rubber stamp the usual conservative judicial agenda concerning the usual hot button items on the conservative mind. I don't think I have to go down that list, do I? For him to be this close to losing his spot on the bench is an example of progressive strides, not of progressives falling short this time around. I would take issue with anyone who would come to the conclusion that progressives didn't provide the proper results of this election. We fought hard for this one against some formidable opposition. This can still end as a victory for the working class and those who fight the corporate powers."
Any questions?
