Sarkozy and Bernard-Henri Lévy, the Jewish philosopher who urged the President of France to bomb Libya on bogus humanitarian claims. Levy has a history of demanding Western military intervention in such places as Bosnia and Darfur. And the operation’s unlikely mastermind was one of France’s unique contributions to both fashion and global politics: Bernard-Henri Lévy, the battling philosopher with a line in human rights advocacy and designer shirts.
