A very timely repost! Well worth considering the possibility of renewing such an effort. However, if the court is packed with partisan activists wil it mater whether there are nine or twenty one? Is there any reason to suspect that the greater the number of judges, the less likely a closet extremist like Roberts will make his way to the court?
In our time, however, there is no president in office, or in the running who would go to bat for the people as did FDR. Kucinich might if he had the chance, but would he have the clout that FDR had? Therefore, such an effort now would require the people doing it for themselves, like it seems that we are going to have to do everything else involving government reform for ourselves! I am ready and determined however, to get up from the armchair and move on it. How about you?
