The man is just Barry Goldwater reborn.
Next he'll be talking about how the Civil Rights act was a "mistake" and should have been left up to the states.
I appreciate Ron Paul' honesty in regards to the economy and the Iraq war, there are very few politicians like him. However, he is a complete fucking moron in nearly every other respect, especially in issues he claims to know a lot about, like the Federal reserve.
The bottom line is that peoples' ideology is not what makes them effective leaders. As President, I can't imagine Ron Paul doing anything except swinging hard-right or (more likely) being a useless Coolidge/Ford president who accomplishes nothing at the expense of a great deal.

Like Paul, Goldwater had his good points. For the record, Barry Goldwater was pro-choice. He also slammed the religious right, and said he thought Richard Nixon was a "god-damned liar." He wasn't afraid to piss off folks like Pat Buchanan or anyone else, although of course he was an economic Neanderthal.
But Obama's no Lyndon Johnson, and he well might lose to an genuine extremist next time around.

Which they have busily been doing. Parental notification, waiting periods, counseling sessions to discourage termination, mandatory ultrasounds, limiting access by trimester, defunding public health clinics--these are just a few ways states have been rendering Roe v. Actually it still is very much is regulated by the states. The They can't outright ban abortion but
in response to Roe v. Wade, most states enacted or attempted to enact laws limiting or regulating abortion, such as laws requiring parental consent for minors to obtain abortions, parental notification laws, spousal mutual consent laws, spousal notification laws, laws requiring abortions to be performed in hospitals but not clinics, laws barring state funding for abortions, laws banning intact dilation and extraction (also known as partial-birth abortion)Different states have different regulation or lack their of on access to abortions.

Anti-choice is not a "difference of opinion" any more than saying slavery should not have been abolished is a "difference of opinion". It's a statement against women, condemning their choices, and whether or not the person states they would attempt to legislate against abortion or vote for such legislation, the implied threat is there, and it's very serious and very personal. If someone were to tell me to my face IRL that they vote anti-choice, they'd be picking their teeth up from the ground. It's a slap in the face.

OK, real clever. Is it possible, though, that you can actually give a reasoned and intelligent reply to a simple question? Here is the two-part question: 1) Is it possible that there are some women who did not want their lives disrupted by having a baby, so they chose to destroy it? Simple question. See if you can answer it with out being cute. 2) Is that OK with you since it is "her body and she has the right to do what she wants with it"? Is that really OK with you? Try being pregnant for one day, ONE DAY, then you can tell me about innocent babies and murdering mothers. Being pregnant isn't like holding a water balloon. The fetus takes everything and gives back nothing except toxins.
Sometimes women choose not to put themselves through that. I cannot blame them.
The mother's life is TIED to that of the child. Without the mother, there is no child. Without the child, a mother can still exist. When you do something as simple as walking across the street, you check to make sure it is in your best interest to do so AT THAT TIME, IN THAT NEIGHBORHOOD, WITH THOSE CARS. Something that simple gets a world of deliberation and consideration. But you would deny women the same agency to decide what is right for them in their situation?
You want babies to be born, but don't seem to care much about them once they actually are. What do YOU do to ensure that women who give birth to children they cannot raise have access to support?

I'm not telling you what you can and can't do with your body, and I can't see any evidence where Ron Paul is either.
Bleat on and on about "ignorant hicks" or whatever silly name-calling you want, but the the legislation Ron Paul puts forth doesn't say what you are claiming.

Perhaps people behave in a hateful, angry manner toward you because you're an ignorant asshole. Yep, that's definitely it.
