Conspiracy Theories. Censorship Under Obama's Watch.

congoboy
What is one sure-fired way to feed a conspiracy theory? Make a TV episode supposedly exposing a conspiracy theory and then, after alleged government pressure, have truTV yank that episode off the air. The episode was Jesse Ventura's Conspiracy Theory "Police State" about "secret" FEMA camps or fusion centers. There are still no public answers as to why this happened. It is, at the least, thought-provoking.

Although I did not see this episode when it aired, and had never seen Ventura's Conspiracy Theory series, I did watch the program via YouTube to see what all the fuss was about. "The secret government plan to spy on, round up, and imprison innocent Americans." Taken from the narrator's description, "Jesse Ventura uncovers a plot to force martial law on law abiding citizens, replace 50 states with 10 giant prison sectors, fill up hundreds of concentration camps with people like you and me, and pull the trigger with a disease pandemic."

    • Fear Mongering 101. The very notion/idea is absurd beyond belief. You really think Fema would be that effective in rounding up millions of citizens and putting them in some sort of Concentration camp? People who believe in this stuff live in constant fear that very soon, the government for some strange reason will release some sort of disease and place us all into death camps like mustache twirling villains.

you know whats even funnier? if these theories were circulating under the bush regime most folks posting on here would have found them more believable. but if they ever do start rounding folks up it wouldnt likely be in the millions, just the ones that had opinions differing from the staus quo

    • So Obama is responsible for what dumbshit Ventura says? That, like all your posts, as well as your member name is stupid and unoriginal.

Obama’s assassination list...“Nobody — or at least not me — disputes the right of the U.S. or any other country to kill someone on an actual battlefield during war without due process. That's just obvious, but that's not remotely what Brennan is talking about, and it's not remotely what this assassination program is about. Indeed, Brennan explicitly identified two indistinguishable groups of American citizens who "will face the full brunt of a U.S. response": (1) those "on the battlefield in Afghanistan or Iraq"; and (2) those "in a Yemen or in a Pakistan or in Somalia or another place." In other words, the entire world is a "battlefield" — countries where there is a war and countries where there isn't — and the President's "battlefield" powers, which are unlimited, extend everywhere. That theory — the whole world is a battlefield, even the U.S. — was the core premise that spawned 8 years of Bush/Cheney radicalism, and it has been adopted in full by the Obama administration (indeed, it was that "whole-world-is-a-battlefield" theory which Elena Kagan explicitly endorsed during her confirmation hearing for Solicitor General).”http://www.thenewamerican.com/index.php/usnews/foreign-policy/3881-dozens-of-us-...

at least my avatars original, unlike yours my friend...Obama Eyes Internet ID for All Americans...Government monitoring of what Americans are doing in cyberspace has moved a bit closer to reality, as President Barack Obama announces plans to hand over authority to create an Internet ID for all Americans to the U.S. Commerce Department, a White House official tells CBS News.

The plan, touted as the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace, is raising eyebrows about privacy issues over concerns that creating a centralized database is an infringement on Americans’ rights. It is expected to be released in the next several months.

No. Conspiracy isnt a conservative phenomenon(though they do excel at it)... hell, my daughter is about as far left as they come and she thinks the moon landing was faked and that 911 was an inside job - yeah, we dont agree. lol

Fema camps - IMO this is right up there with big foot. Nonsense.

Bigfoot doesn't exist. Government conspiracies do. In spades.

With that being said, I like Jesse Ventura and the show is well produced and very engaging, but I don't care much for this program.

    • Hello region 6, this is fema region 10 in the great nw. Here is the land of chemtrailed skys, fluoridated water and fresh gmo veggies. Also our grocery outlets furnish us with plenty of high fructose corn syrup, just in case we don't get our daily dose of gmo from the fresh veggies. :) always looking out for us here in region 10. Have happy trails, well at least a walk around the track.
      Best Regards,
      Region 10

    • Ask any Nazi survivor if they ever saw it coming! This IS going on in the U.S.A. right now. "We the people" are at war with the American "government". Learn to shoot, and use your common sense to wrench the works, they cannot fight what they do not understand!

but who would ever expect the left? only the right could be guilty of such tragic conspiracies right? right? could they possibly be working together in some deep dark star chamber?
