His nickname is 'El Kilo', but Martin Omar Estrada Luna was arrested on Saturday in San Fernando on charges of murdering a total of 217 people by Mexico's Department of the Navy (Semar). He is the alleged perpetrator behind the mass graves found in San Fernando, Mexico in 2010 and 2011. Five other unidentified people have been arrested with him. News of the arrest was posted on Semar's Twitter account.
Commander Kilo is the local gang leader of the Zetas drug cartel and the alleged mastermind behind the killing of 72 migrant workers and 145 people found so far in scattered mass graves. Authorities have found about 20 mass graves in San Fernando since April 1.
