Years of Deceit: United States Openly Admits Bin Laden Long Dead
“Hunt for bin laden” a national shame
Conservative commentator, former Marine Colonel Bob Pappas has been saying for years that bin Laden died at Tora Bora and that Senator Kerry’s claim that bin Laden escaped with Bush help was a lie. Now we know that Pappas was correct. The embarrassment of having Secretary of State Clinton talk about bin Laden in Pakistan was horrific. He has been dead since December 13, 2001 and now, finally, everyone, Obama, McChrystal, Cheney, everyone who isn’t nuts is finally saying what they have known for years.
However, since we lost a couple of hundred of our top special operations forces hunting for bin Laden after we knew he was dead, is someone going to answer for this with some jail time? Since we spent 200 million dollars on “special ops” looking for someone we knew was dead, who is going to jail for that? Since Bush, Rumsfeld and Cheney continually talked about a man they knew was dead, now known to be for reasons of POLITICAL nature, who is going to jail for that? Why were tapes brought out, now known to be forged, as legitimate intelligence to sway the disputed 2004 election in the US? This is a criminal act if there ever was one.

The "Real" government is already in "the new world order". They are running both parties. Hey you heard "too big to fail"? With the kind of money that has exploded into politics in the last few years, everything is for sale. How about "too big to be noticed"? like shadow government. They have more money than Hollywood ever dreamed. Can we even fathom what they are really capable of? People, we are just rats in a cage in some laboratory.

The truth of Bin Laden's life or death will stand as much of a chance of seeing the light of day as the true story of JFK's assassination. The facts will be buried under the same layers of deceit the US government has been perpetrating on the American people for decades.

Whether Osama Bin Laden is alive or dead, he's become a mythic figure with the Jihadists and they will follow his "leadership" for the rest of time regardless. The bottom line will always be that America was wrong to invade Iraq. Period.

If Current is going to publish this stuff under the heading "NEWS" isn't it incumbent on them to verify what they're putting out here? I find myself coming here less and less because some of the stuff I'm wasting my time reading is even junkier than what HuffPo started pushing. Put the user-written stuff in another section instead of insulting our intelligence by calling it "news".

Not user generated, user posted. Big difference, though some current posters have been known to produce original articles. The staff does their best to sort articles and will move them to different sections if such action is deemed appropriate. The thing with current is that the freedom encourages discussion and allows flexibility without heavy moderator censorship. This brings thoughtful and smart people to the comment sections. Compare current comments to huffpo or NYT comments to see the difference. Pretty stark. With that you also find that the crazies and bigots may post whatever they feel like as well. Despite the occasional silliness, it results generally in a higher quality website. Have the patience to look through the stories and ignore what you think is stupid. If you really have a problem, try joining groups for a more focused feel. And there really isn't any requirement to verify something before calling it news. Look at fox. ^_^
Though, these are my opinions and may be disregarded at your leisure. But here's some food for thought: define the difference between 'news', 'current events', and 'opinion editorials'.

And we are still looking for him. If this is true then our current administration is as guilty as the previous. While we are at it how about we go after Kerry for his lies about bin Laden escapting with Bush help. Funny thing, the article says bin Ladin dies on 12/15/01 and he "always denied any ties to" 9/11. I didn 't htink he did that much denying in three months but what the heck.

The funny thing about Osama Bin Laden is how incorruptible, in the very classic sense, he was.
Within his huge extended family he was always admired as being the most self-effacing, serious and generous of the clan.
The family strongly supported his efforts in helping the Afghans get medical treatment, education and food, and in his later efforts (as did the US) in helping the Afghans fight the Soviet invaders.
He learned to drive heavy machinery to do construction as an adolescent working within the Bin Laden family projects in Saudi Arabia, and later learned the arts of war as necessary in Afghanistan. He was still working with Afghan children and adults hurt by the war long after the US pulled out.
The folks on both sides of the border Afghan and Pakistani have a long memory of his dedication and good works there. The idea of a whole region of a country (especially one of the poorest nations in the world) ignoring a five million dollar "dead or alive" reward was incomprehensible to the US culture, yet that's what happened.
I wonder what kind of response one could get in the US for offering 1/10 of that amount for a former US warlord. - 1 year ago

That picture is not OBL unless he had a nose job, and the headline is not proven even loosely in the article, save for someone quoting Dick Cheney, and some Military officer that says OBL was killed.
Then there is the video which is an excerpt, and questionable. That does not equal The US openly admits Bin Laden long dead.
Personally I tend to believe he is dead. However The headline is not accurate at least based on the article that accompanies it.

I didn't see in the text any admission "by the US" that Osama Bin Laden is dead, only the omission of any reference to him in one report by Stanley McCrystal.
It's not that I don't think the US government/military lies about such things for political advantage, but I just didn't see that in this report, V.
Also, sorry to say, the writing on the cited web site was so bad it seemed a bit like a wacko stew.
I also suspect that if Bin Laden were really dead the news would be hard to suppress.
I think his very rich and thoroughly connected extended family, as well as the House of Saud, would breathe a sign of relief and be very forthcoming with the news. - 1 year ago

Propaganda alert. Benazir Bhutto misspoke. The video I uploaded clearly demonstrates why this is so. At any rate I'll list the reasons why this is not what Benazir Bhutto meant cause at the very least its shameful to exploit a person who was violently murdered for trying to do the right thing.
First off Bhutto spoke of Bin Laden as being alive before and AFTER this interview. That alone should tell you she misspoke. Then again if people were applying that little thing called logic and common sense we wouldn't be in this predicament in the first place.
Anyway, moving on. Proceeding the infamous statement she references several terrorist that decapitated and killed American and British tourists. The she says this
"And um, he also had dealings with uh Omar Sheikh the man who murdered, uh, Osama Bin Laden."
She made this remark for several reason. One is that this man in Security supposedly had ties with Omar Sheikh the terrorist and two because Omar Sheikh was also a well known terrorist who was charged with DECAPITATING an American like the former terrorists mentioned. Before and after this she never made the claim that Omar Sheikh had anything to do with anything other than decapitating Daniel Pearl, and neither had anyone else. That's because its common knowledge to anyone that knows anything about Omar sheikh is that he was charged with the murder/decapitation of Daniel Pearl.
To take this often repeated claim made by Vierotchka and other conspiracy theorists is to assume that before this comment was made that it was already common knowledge, or at the very least known, believed, endorsed by David Frost, Aljazeera and the BBC, that Omar Sheikh killed Osama Bin Laden. If not then what this comment amounts to is an extremely bold and unheard claim that was made by an extremely well respected and knowledgeable, former Prime Minister that David Frost simply accepted and never asked for a clarification of the details.
This is bullshit propaganda. Whether or not Bin Laden is dead Benazir Bhutto did not make this claim and anyone with two braincells that was being honest with themselves would be forced to concede this point.
