White House releases Obama birth certificate ......NOW BIGOTS WHERE ARE YOUR APOLOGY'S

(CNN) – The White House released President Obama's original birth certificate Wednesday.
The surprise release follows recent and sustained remarks by businessman Donald Trump, among others, that raised doubts as to whether the president was born in the United States.
White House spokesman Jay Carney is expected to speak more about the birth certificate Wednesday morning.
In an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper Monday, Trump repeated his doubts and said he had been told the certificate was "missing."
A new CNN investigation revealed earlier this week what most analysts have been saying since the "birther" controversy erupted during the 2008 presidential campaign: Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961.
While the president has made light of the controversy, the question remained political red meat for some of his critics. A recent CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll showed that nearly 75% of Americans believe Obama was definitely or probably born in the United States. More than four in 10 Republicans, however, believe he probably or definitely was not born in America.
The U.S. Constitution says only "natural born" citizens can become president - a vague clause that some members of the birther movement contend disqualifies Obama because, they insist, he was born outside the United States.
Skeptics contend, among other things, that Obama was born in his father's home country of Kenya.

Apologies? Are you kidding me? Check out the comments on this article. Some of these birthers have kicked it into overdrive with their conspiracies theories how the certificate is fake. These guys are so anti-Obama that nothing short of him quitting and/or dying will make them happy.
I think those birthers who cling to their theories have become more persona non grata than they were before. If people thought they were ridiculous before, they will see them as bark raving mad now.

It turns out that Obama's 'birth certificate' image is made up of multiple layers, rather than a solid, scanned document -- it looks as if it may have been doctored.

I wonder what would have gone down had people of the, uh, intellectual caliber, of the birthers been around in Martin van Buren's day.
You see, Martin van Buren, born in Upstate New York, was the first president to be born on U.S. soil after independence from Britain. He also came from a long line of Dutch-speaking settlers and his English was reportedly not very good.

I think it is suspect that, after spending such money and time on the subject, this piece of paper has suddenly surfaced when the 2012 election cycle begins. Hhmm good psyops. Considering the fact that BHO is one of the worst presidents in history, his eligibility, or lack thereof depending on which side one takes, is merely another limb on the tree. He has been in there for two years. Even if this document is a forgery I suspect that whatever he has done to date will not be overturned on that basis. Whatever. He could have put an end to this from the beginning so whatever flak gets thrown around is his fault alone.

We get it you guys, and some Libs really really hate President Obama. He's going to win in 2012, and in 2016? Another Democrat.
It's about what America wants to be Paratus.
America wants to be real, and go into the future with new ideas, and choices.Right wing ideology wants to conscript, and enslave the masses. Go back in time to the good old days of rampant environmental destruction, and no regulations to protect the people from big money interests that would poison our food, the air, and waters more than they already are. For more money.
This just happened in Michigan. It's likely to happen elsewhere before it's stopped.
This is your Libertarian Tea Republic in action. Appoint a Regent, with power to rule a city like a 12th century Duke, where the citizens are serfs, with no rights. This is what you people want to create in America, and it's not going to happen.
The overreach is going to blow up in your faces. You guys jumped the gun.
Your "Coup" failed. Republicans are blind until you take away "their" entitlements.By election time even semi sane older Republicans will be seriously considering voting for Democrats.
We're not going to have another 2000 stolen election. You watch, and see what happens this Summer and fall. You are going to be enlightened.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution sets the principal qualifications one must meet to be eligible to the office of president. A president must:
1. Be a natural-born citizen of the United States; Foreign-born Americans who were citizens at the time the Constitution was adopted were also eligible to become president, provided they met the age and residency requirements. However, this allowance has since become obsolete.
2. Be at least thirty-five years old;
3. Have been a permanent resident in the United States for at least fourteen years. As of 2006, United States Federal law defines ten categories of person who are United States citizens from birth. According to that law, the following acquire citizenship at birth:
1. “A person born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof”
2. “A person of unknown parentage found in the United States while under the age of five years, until shown, prior to his attaining the age of twenty-one years, not to have been born in the United States”
3. “A person born in an outlying possession of the United States of parents one of whom is a citizen of the United States who has been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year at any time prior to the birth of such person”
Under certain circumstances, U.S. citizenship can be acquired from one’s parents. The following conditions affect children born outside the U.S. and its outlying possessions to married parents
4. If both parents are U.S. citizens, the child is a citizen if either of the parents has ever lived in the U.S. prior to the child’s birth
5. If one parent is a U.S. citizen and the other parent is a U.S. national, the child is a citizen if the U.S. citizen parent has lived in the U.S. for a continuous period of at least one year prior to the child’s birth
6. If one parent is a U.S. citizen and the other parent is not, the child is a citizen if the U.S. citizen parent has been “physically present” in the U.S. before the child’s birth for a total period of at least five years, and at least two of those five years were after the U.S. citizen parent’s fourteenth birthday. Including, in some circumstances, time spent overseas when a parent who is a U.S. government employee is posted overseasUnder Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment, the Constitution prohibits an otherwise eligible person from becoming president if that person swore an oath to support the Constitution, and later rebelled against the United States. Section 3 prohibits the election or appointment to any federal or state office of any person who had held any of certain offices and then engaged in insurrection, rebellion or treason. The Congress, by a two-thirds vote of each house, can override this disqualification.
