Donald Trump Booed At White House Correspondents' Dinn

Donald Trump Booed At White House Correspondents' Dinner

Donald Trump didn't appear to have many fans upon arriving to the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner on Saturday.

The Wrap reports that the media mogul was greeted by a round of "boos" upon arriving to Washington's Hilton Hotel with his wife, Melania:

After giving a brief interview with a group of several of media outlets, Trump -- who was invited to the event as a guest of the Washington Post -- walked away to a chorus of audible boos from the media members on the press line. (And it wasn't because they wanted to hear Trump talk more.)
While waiting in line on the red carpet, Trump told the Wall Street Journal's Washington Wire that he wouldn't be afraid to give President Barack Obama a piece of his mind that evening, should the two have a chance to speak. “He’s gotta get tough with all the nations that are ripping off the U.S.,” such as China, he told the Journal he would say to the president.

Trump has been no stranger to the press in recent weeks. On Tuesday he took credit for the release of Obama's birth certificate, saying the disclosure made him "proud" and "honored to play such a big role" in its release, but that "I want to look at it" before confirming its authenticity.

Later, at an event Thursday in Las Vegas, he again made headlines for calling America's leaders "stupid" and declaring the United States was "not a great country" before erupting in a chorus of curses.

While Trump has yet to confirm his widely-speculated presidential candidacy, during the same Las Vegas appearance he responded to a supporter's cries of "run for president!" by replying, "I think I'm going to make you very happy on that."

Love it! However, I would have preferred that he sign a copy of the Birth Certificate that I made up for him saying that he was born in a waste ditch in Kenya to Satan and a jackal. :)

    • Trump says he'd tell the Saudis, "You're not gonna raise the fucking price of oil!" applause.
He'd tell China, "I'm gonna put a 25% tax on all your goods" applause.
Are the rethuglicons in that audience in Vegas too stupid to realize he's talking about government regulation on oil prices and import tariffs? What happened to their "free market"?

What a minute Donnie, I thought he wasn't born in this country? You wouldn't want an illegitimate president to negotiating with a foreign power would you?

Oh and by the way buddy, if China is ripping us off, it's with the full support of "US" Corporations that have moved their manufacturing base over there.

Have you seen the label in Trump's business wear collection sold by Macy's? 'Made in China'. He's on record as saying merchandise made in China is crap and falls apart sooner than American-made. But, business is business, apparently.

    • In these economic times, for the republicans to put forward a man who's" claim to fame" is the phrase, " Your Fired" is about as clear as an example of how far the republicans have gone down the rabbit hole.
The republican party needs to die ASAP so we can have the real debate between the moderate liberals and the progressive liberals. Thats where the answers will be found. The republicans have shown over and over and over that they have nothing constructive to add to the conversation.
To be a republican today is to activly further the rise of American Fascism, which is very real and very much present today.

    • If the polls show that Trump would be the best thing that the Republicans can do, then go Trump. I wouldn't want to rain on his parade, but there is slim chance he would beat Obama. Rock on Trump, just keep making a fool of yourself, we are happy with it. It really doesn't matter if you lose, you will have such good name recognition, that any network would love to keep you in the spotlight. on TV. You make a wonderful sideshow. If you ask me, this 2012 election is a huge waste of money. Let's be real here, WE, including the Repubs. knew that nothing would get done in just four years. Honestly, we should not even be wasting time and money on this circus. Come back and ask us in four years.

    • Aww snap! Trump got his a$$ spanked at the White House Correspondents' Dinner tonight. Both President Obama and SNL's Seth Meyers were very funny and clever. Boy, was Trump's face red. He looked pretty grim. Although he's got to take it as a big complement that he and his show got such a spotlight (money in the bank, I'm sure). I know he's going to be braying about this for the next week or so at least. AugustK has posted Obama's remarks below. Seth's are above. Well worth the time investment to view. Found both very satisfying. Enjoy!

The president starting a speech with "My fellow Americans..." has never been funnier.

One of Seth's best Trump jokes was: “Donald Trump has said he’s running for president as a Republican — which is surprising because I thought he was running as a joke. “

    • I think Trump over-played that whole 'bad publicity is good publicity' thang. The best thing about Trump over playing his hand is that now people are looking into his business dealings which go a long way showing he ain't the Bidness God he pretends he is. Trump inherited 500M from his daddy; if he'd been born to a poor family most likely he'd be selling TV's from the back of a stolen van.

When you step in shit, scrape it off your shoe. That is what Americans should do to the shithead Trump. Also, why do the press follow him around like little lost puppies. They need to stop giving him airtime.

I agree the news has become sensational TV. The louder someone is, even it they are a disgrace, the more airtime they get. There are very few real journalist these days. At least Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann bring facts to their shows. Most TV networks these day just follow the lies supplied by Fox News.

How come you do not? As far as I can tell all anyone does is make fun of him. They never address him seriously. I have always taken Obama to be a U.S. citizen, but I think it's not unreasonable to ask why the original birth certificate had not been released.

It seems to me everyone is just programmed by their TV. They repeat what they hear. The media has been lampooning Trump for weeks now, and so the people follow right along.

You know what I would do if I were Trump? I'd tell the people that I've come to the sad conclusion that they don't deserve me. That the country is lost, and I'm taking my billions and packing my bags. Bye. And proceed to move to one of the Rising Nations.

So you want to know the truth? Trump isn't an elitist. The powers-that-be have no desire for him to be President, b/c they would not be able to control him. So they set off on a smear campaign to get him out of the race as fast as possible. Of course, he made it pretty easy for them by bringing up the Birther issue. But they would have done it anyway, even if it was just making more fun of his hair.

->What is Donald Trump plan for Universal guaranteed Health Care insurance Coverage for every American Citizen?
->What is Donald Trump's plan to get the American Public Educational School System to a point where it can compete with the vastly superior, by every measurable standard, schools in the nations of Western and Northern Europe?
->What is Donald Trump's plan to get United States Federal Government Revenue incomes out of the current nosedive they have been in since the Mid-20th Century?
->What is Donald Trump's plan to secure the United States of America a predominant place in the very-soon-to-be-Chinese-dominant global international economic and commercial marketplace?
->What is Donald Trump's plan to ensure that formerly productive, and now retiring, past generations are able to live out the final several decades of their lives whilst enjoying a standard of lifestyle that is such as befits a firs-world developed industrialized democratized nation, rather than in the poverty and destitution of a third-world underdeveloped country?
->What is Donald Trump's plan to ensure that every student who graduates from high school, less than one-fourth of all elementary school students who start, are fully capable, and properly prepared (many cannot read, pronounce, write, or spell their own names), to continue directly on to a four-year university college higher education?
->What is Donald Trump's plan to ensure that those individuals who a fully capable of graduating from a four-year public federal and state-government-funded university are granted with the opportunity to do so, and that when they are, those students graduating from American colleges are fully and properly prepared to compete with even the high school graduates being produced by the far-superior public school educational systems of Western Europe?
->What is Donald Trump's Plan to ensure, however few American students do manage to graduate from American colleges and Universities, that there are good-paying sustainable jobs available here in the United States, in industries that have not long-since either moved to other countries overseas, or gone extinct entirely due to being rendered obsolete by the far more technologically-sophisticated industrial centers in East Asia?

The answer to all of these questions is the same:
      He does not have one.

Donald Trump is not campaigning on his policy agenda, if for no other reason than because of the simple fact that he plainly, evidently, and quite obviously HAS no policies, and no agenda.

But it is not entirely his fault.
This is something that Donald Trump shares in Common with very nearly ALL "birthers".

There is only one reason to claim that 44th President of the United States Barack Obama was not born in the United States of America, or even to suggest otherwise:
Because you have nothing else more to say.

The only reason to doubt the citizenship of your own nation's President; when he himself, nearly three years ago, publicly published for all the world to see the only form of birth certification that has been issued by the government of the state in which he was born for well over a decade now; is that, for some reason or another, known only to you, you are of the opinion or the belief that such a "kind" of person should never have been able to become President at all.

And taking into consideration that, at the time, the soon-to-be-44th President was campaigning in opposition to a man who was born in a foreign territorial holding of the United States that does not, and has not, belong to America any longer; thereby raising some genuine and intricately complex legal "issues"; the ONLY sole, single, singular solitary reason to question the citizenship of a man born in what has been the 50th State for more than well over half of a century, can, or could be motivated by nothing other than the thing(s) that set him apart from every other man who has ever campaigned for the Presidency of the United States; namely: his appearance of being "different" or "other than" for any number of reasons, including, but not limited to his name, and his race, the nationality of his parent(s) [the one that wasn't from Kansas], and the heritage and legacy of his particular ethnicity, in this nation in especial.

That is why, just this past week, after the much legal wrangling that must be done with the Hawaii state Department of Health in order to obtain a birth certification from the early 1960's, in a format that is no longer recognized by the state government as being official nor valid in the state of Hawaii, The Obama Administration's White house officially "released" the so-called "long-form" Certification of Live Birth (it is, in reality, actually quantitatively shorter than the so-called "short-form"); Donald Trump promptly, and preemptively responded by switching the focus of his alleged supposed "investigation" (CNN could find no one in Hawaii that had even so much as seen, much less been spoken to by, anyone connected with Donald Trump) to Barack Obama's College and University Transcripts, which no President, nor, Presidential Candidate, in our nation's history; including, but not limited to, President Obama's Predecessor; has ever before been asked to reveal.

He MUST, and has to, by necessity keep contrived and misinformed "controversy" and wildly unfounded and baseless speculation concerning the legitimacy of the democratically-majority-elected President of the United States alive and kicking, if for no other reason than because, to put it very simply, he has nothing else, no other "leg to stand on".

Which is one of many reasons why I am not alone in suspecting that Donald Trump, in spite of being the leading frontrunner ahead in the polls, will not, ultimately, in the end wind up campaigning for the so-called "Republican" party's nomination fro the Presidency of the United States in the Fall 2012 Presidential election campaign.

Seeking the nomination for the Presidency requires that that you must first WANT to be President.
Donald Trump very clearly does not, since he has spent the vast majority of this year thus far doing everything in his considerable power to undermine the legitimacy of the institution of the Presidency itself.

A prerequisite for this qualification, in its turn, is having at the very least SOME sort of kind of variety of desire or willingness to actually GOVERN anything at all.
Donald Trump has none. Nor, i should add, does the so-called "Republican" Party itself at large as a whole; as is clearly evidenced by the fact the Donald Trump HAS no legislative policy agenda of any shape, form, or kind at all whatsoever; and that the "Republican", with their newly-discovered majority in one of the two houses of the Unite States Congress, have used their newfound power to do everything they can to undermine and sabotage the sociological infrastructure of the United States of America itself as a first-world developed industrialized nation.

Donald Trump is NOT running for President, or any elected office for that matter, for the fairly relatively simple reason that he cannot. (Narcissistic Egomaniacs do not tend to function well in a democratic system)

      1. Who took him seriously about having investigators?
      2. Why won't he release his tax records now?
      3. Trump has always been "pro-choice" and now he's "pro-life?"
      4. All his clothes are made in China
      5. Trump hasn't voted in over 20 years.

I could go on and on but you now you know why I and others would never take him seriously?

Actually, an elitist is exactly what he is:

The belief that certain persons or members of certain classes or groups deserve favored treatment by virtue of their perceived superiority, as in intellect, social status, or financial resources.

He constantly crows about being better in every way while suggesting others didn't earn or deserve their rewards or achievements.

As Bill Maher said Friday "He doesn't put anything past the American people. Most of them would be dumb enough to vote for him."
