RT TV always finds ways to blame the US for everything and or simply question every single motive of the US in a highly cynical manner. I'm not saying you shouldn't question the analysis but the operation was clearly done and he was clearly killed.

I think our definitiions of "clear" are not that similar. My definition with clear involves a story to remain unchanging from first telling to second telling. So far, I'm getting revised details every day from the people who told the story in the first place. Clear, this story is not.

As to how Bin Laden could live at his home in Pakistan for years...well, I'm sure he had front men to get the place built. He did not go around the neighborhood and introduce himself. He did not do his own shopping.
How many people here in the States know their neighbors and what they are up to? Just think of serial killers that have been hiding in plane site for years.
The more affluent the neighborhood the easier it is to hide.
Even where I live, in a small town in southern Oregon 1200 population, I don't know everyone nor what they do for a living. There are some very wealthy people, judging by their land and homes, that live near here, and the people I know don't have a clue as to who the owner are or what the owners do, and in some cases have never seen the owners..... - 1 year ago

You're talkin about serial killers with hidden identity's who come out of no where. But when you're an identified man with a long history of relationship with the US and virtually the whole world is looking for you? C'mon...really? He used to work with the CIA! You don't think they have a shit load of info on him that they couldn't track him down in 10 years? I mean I guess you could suggest that our CIA sucks that much but I find it very hard to believe.

I may be wrong, but if I remember correctly, it was under Bush that the CIA stopped looking for bin Laden in 2005 and it wasn't until Obama that they began their search anew. My point about serial killers was that their neighbors were unaware of their activities.
Another example might have done better, the long search for Nazi war criminals that has taken years.
We have a witness protection program here in the U.S. where people receive new identities. If they follow some basic rules, they are safe and not found by those that would do them harm.
On a personal note, it took us 20 years to find a friend of ours, that was not in hiding. He has a common name and many people in the area he lives in have the same name (including middle name).
My point, is that it is easier to hide than people think. - 1 year ago

It greatly benefits a wanted man to FAKE his own death. It allows you to operate while throwing off those hunting you. So yes, there are a few reports of his death. It only makes sense that there would be. -If police where protecting you from the Mofia, they might fake your death, change your identity, and move you to a safe location for safe keeping.

After everyone is through chewing on the rhetoric, the Commander-in-Chief can see daylight to begin drawing down on the Middle East presence created by the previous administration. Look..either the guy was already dead or we just killed him but he's dead. Shortly myth of Al Qaeda is going to die with him - which will be a good thing. I'm all for having a respite from the Goldsteins of the world. We just have to watch out for the next one they create and I've got a sinking feeling that Goldstein will be closer to home.
To think Obama made this up is laughable. He's not in charge any more than Dubya was. If the Pentagon staged the whole thing for his Admins benefit? That's plausible. Maybe they did it to take the heat off the fact the DOD got a 5 billion dollar bump in the budget while the GOP and Blue Dogs cut funding for the desperate here. Again plausible. It's all such a sick sick game working towards all guns no butter.
By the way, did you all know the suburbs around DC are thriving, wages are up there and employment is really low and none of these assholes could give a flying swirly twirly fuck what's happening outside of their bubble?

For someone with at least one body double recorded, wouldn't they want to hold onto the body in case maybe the dna test was inconclusive, or was made invalid, or ANYTHING, anything at all went wrong with the test? I mean, come on, that's just bad detective work and follow up.

I can't imagine they did a reliable DNA test on the "body" before they dumped it into the sea. Who did the testing, someone in the local village? How could they be sure without evidence, just in case some might ask the obvious? My understanding of DNA testing is that it takes at least a few days, does anyone have info about this?

Yesterday I spoke to a friend that is a staff member for (D.) Sen.Carl Levin, Chief of Armed Services Committee. I question him about the quick burial at sea and reasons for no photos. He told me that the sea burial was meant to stop Muslim terrorist worldwide from making his grave site a rallying post for retaliation against America. He also said that there are photos available that may be release later on. He said that the White House has concerns that the photos are extremely gruesome and they'll probably create Jihadist anger worldwide.
That's his story and he's sticking to it........me,....I'd still like to see more evidence.

We haven't got a straight answer out of the government in over 30 years. The last president who was straight with us was Jimmy Carter and we all know what that got him. One term and a loss to Saint Ronnie. US Government and the truth rarely cross paths these days. I'm not claiming to know the truth of what went down Sunday night, but I can bet we'll never get the full truth of it. Look at the players. The entire military hierarchy were put there by Bush/Cheney. This isn't about Obama, this is about the people who really run the show. Obama was told who was going to run his foreign policy apparatus before he ever was inagurated. Come on people. Gates, Petraeus, Mullen, Mueller, Panetta. Why do you think that almost every one of the people who were named to his cabinet was met with a collective, "Say What!!!!" This is almost a carbon copy of the team who called the shots from 2001-2008. Believe what you may. I'm going with my gut instincts that Dick Cheney is still Head Coach of the team.

Very good post/video, Leen61. Stacked up against the usual substantiation we receive from the government, from a pure logical perspective, I'll give this guy more credence than what usually comes out of the resident press secretary. It's only tin foil hat territory when you can logically and categorically dismiss and debunk it. The Pentagon's usual line of BS plays more like bad stand-up comedy than take to the bank facts. That's why the story always keeps changing. Don Rumsfeld immediately comes to mind.

I know I am pretty naive, but the long-term consequence of lying about this would be far worse, would it not? I mean if he were still alive, and then somehow reappeared, people would start comparing him to Jesus. I don't think it would be wise to step onto a resurrection land mine. Also, if he were alive, I am sure he would have handed off a tape of himself saying he was alive to courier and informed the whole world by now. I mean, there's not much that makes for better PR than proving we missed him again. If you take some time to think about it, what is more devastating to his followers than eliminating any chance they have to rally around his death? It was an incredibly bold move, and one that history will reveal was well-calculated. And whether or not you think Osama was a patsy (which I do not) his tapes were successfully used as propaganda for recruiting and motivating his Al-Qaeda following, not to mention the fact that he symbolized much more than that. I am sure that this conspiracy theory will go out like Y2K and 2012. Same tin foil hat, different day.

Im sure he is dead , but the issue isnt if he is dead but when and under what circumstances did he die , if he died during the bush administration and then a cover up was done by the obama administration , it shows a clear link of a conspiracy between both parties , meaning that possibly the democratic process is comprimised at the top.
That funding for the war may have continued under false pretenses and that now he has been announced dead the reasons have been created to continue the patriot act and continue to create and enforce new legislation taking more and more individual rights from citizens in order to exercise more dictator like control on the people.
Benizer Bhutto expressed that he had died some years back and lets be honest she was a pretty credible source , so just by showing the fresh corpse they can put all of the speculation to rest.

What have you been smoking, if you checked your facts properly the US offered the body to Saudi Arabia because most of the Bin Laden family is buried in Medina. The Saudi's turned it down because they stripped Osama of his Saudi Nationality years back. He died a person without a passport/State. The Saudis didn't want such a hot potato, neither did anyone else, those of his organisation who would have been prepared to take the body were too scared of what might happen to claim it. My only regret is that it is cruelty to fishes to dump him in the ocean.

I want to see what Ahmadinejad and various voices from Egypt and Syria have to say, as well as Awlaki and others with close ties to Osama and/or al qaeda. And to take Occam's Razor to it, pulling such a huge lie on an international level would require either a major set of balls on Obama, or a massive international conspiracy involving multiple heads of state. If it is the former then enough evidence will surface soon enough. I doubt the latter.

http://english.alarabiya.net/articles/2011/05/04/147782.htmlSee, you keep on talking about how it must be a conspiracy or a lie, but talking is all you're doing. Prove it, buddy. My mind is open, is yours?

Why can't we all just celebrate this one American military victory? This at least shows a small part of the global war on terror is not in vain. Let's hope moving forward that the leaders of our military and our commander and chief will steer away from the occupation of countries and lean more heavily on good intelligence and covert operations.

1. Because there is no evidence it occurred.
2. Because it was not a "military victory"--it was one murderer killing another murderer.
3. Because there is no indication that our military and our president will change their Bush-Jr-inspired approach to dealing with foreign countries, especially the ones that are weaker than the U.S.
4. Because we love our country and don't want to see it damaged any more than it has already been damaged by the Bush/Cheney/Obama administrations.
5. Because if they can get away with this, it just ensures they will be able to get away with something as bad--or worse--in the future.
If you can't handle examination of the "Obama's Miracle in Abbottabad," then perhaps one of the cheerleading folders would be more in your comfort zone?

Or... it does the complete opposite. If it's a lie... which most things our government says nowadays ARE... then what they're doing is rallying support for an unpopular war. Essentially, our government could be trying to justify genocide and war crimes. I don't think that's something to celebrate. Do you?
I think it's wrong to not demand the whole picture here... and when we're done with that, we should demand that the war be ended, and that the IMF be dismantled, and so forth...
What's happened here, no matter how you look at it... is an unjust war that's been fought for money and power. It's nothing to celebrate. We still haven't even gotten the answers to what happened on 9-11 demanded by over 1,000 civil, structural and architectural engineers. As far as I'm concerned, Osama could be innocent... and we could be guilty of far greater crimes. This country was, in fact, founded on the principle of being innocent until proven guilty... and I for one think that Osama was just a scapegoat. The kind that Karl Marx always said you needed to control the opinion of the masses.

Obama made reference to 9-11 NINE times during his speech.
Since even the FBI says that there is no hard evidence linking OBL to 9/11 (and that's why the FBI has never charged OBL with any crime related to 9/11), why would our president try to scam the American people into thinking there is?
I would say: "For the same reason GWBush/Cheney scammed Americans into believing there is a connection between OBL and 9/11."
Obama has already implemented or continued so many of the Bush/Cheney most heinous policies---murdering someone for a crime he has not been accused of, and lying to the American people to make them think he was guilty of 9/11 crimes is just the next step in the Bush/Cheney Third Term as President.

I'm not saying we shouldn't get the whole picture or that America doesn't have blood on it's hands. I myself personally would have rather seen Bin Laden made to stand in a court of law and answer to his crimes. But we all knew that wasn't how this was gonna play out. I'm sorry if pride in my country this once is a bad thing to the conspiracy theorist on this website.

Wow I didn't know current.com was the place for all the conspiracy theorist to congregate? I would have much rather seen Bin Laden brought to trial than killed but that was never gonna happen.

Our founding fathers were basically "conspiracy theorists". They were rebels. They wanted freedom, and so do we all. They would roll in their graves to see the state of this country now. They fought against EXACTLY what we've become. Jefferson (For one) was ADAMANTLY against the federal reserve, which is now where we make our money. I often think that it was the last final insult to our founding fathers to have their faces printed on corrupt and controlled money that they basically fought to free us from.
Pride is okay, I guess... but foresight and unbiased judgment are much more important for the long-run survival of a civilization... or, in our current case... a species.

This just proves the point that there will alway be idiots out there willing to believe any conspiracy that discredits Obama. The story says much more about Obama's detractors than it does about the death of Osama.
