Osama bin Laden’s death fueled demands yesterday for a hastened drawdown of US forces in Afghanistan, despite warnings that a rapid withdrawal could lead that nation into chaos.

    • Yeah... Under Taliban rule in the late 90s the place was pretty fascist and harsh, but they actually had peace and people could actually expect to grow old and die of natural causes.
      Since the meaningless invasion, that's all changed. The invasion has fucked up the country. If it's not fixed we're basically worse than Al Quiada. A LOT worse -since they have never yet managed to be the direct cause of death, destruction and chaos on such a scale.
