Aliens In Our Skies & Getting Under Our Skin (?)

MindsiMedia
Another in our semi-regular series of updates on what is going on in the world of UFO's / alien encounters. Today we have two items. First comes a story from the British Guardian web site about a new skin disease called Morgellons that is infecting people worldwide. It is a weird skin parasite that literally gets under your skin causing itching and leaving behind these weird unidentifiable fibers sticking out of your skin. Most of the medical community has pegged these people as deluded causing their own problems by scratching the itch. The debate goes on so here's the story and then make sure you check out the images and ask yourself if this looks like the product of self deluded people.

Morgellons: A hidden epidemic or mass hysteria?

“Morgellons was named in 2001 by an American called Mary Leitao, whose son complained of sores around his mouth and the sensation of "bugs". Examining him with a toy microscope, Leitao found him to be covered in unexplained red, blue, black and white fibres. Since then, workers at her Morgellons Research Foundation say they have been contacted by more than 12,000 affected families. Campaign group the Charles E Holman Foundation states there are sufferers in "every continent except Antarctica". Thousands have written to Congress demanding action. In response, more than 40 senators, including Hillary Clinton, John McCain and a pre-presidential Barack Obama, pressured the Centres For Disease Control And Prevention (CDC) to investigate; in 2006, it formed a special taskforce, setting aside $1m to study the condition. Sufferers include folk singer Joni Mitchell, who has complained of "this weird incurable disease that seems like it's from outer space... Fibres in a variety of colours protrude out of my skin: they cannot be forensically identified as animal, vegetable or mineral. Morgellons is a slow, unpredictable killer – a terrorist disease. It will blow up one of your organs, leaving you in bed for a year."

Here are the results of an image search for Morgellons. For some reason the link doesn't take you right to the images so just click on the images tag on the left side.

And above we present a video that includes footage from NASA of unexplained encounters that they've filmed. The question that comes to my mind is that while a lot of this doesn’t fit what we would expect contact with aliens would look like what makes us think that such contacts would conform to our expectations? How do we know that an alien attack would come from large metallic discs full of the kind of creatures we've seen in sci fi movies. What if the attack comes from collections of barley recognizable collections of energy that disperse life forms that we don't recognize?
