Osama bin Laden dead: Blackout during raid on bin Laden compound

***The head of the CIA admitted yesterday that there was no live video footage of the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound as further doubts emerged about the US version of events. ***

Leon Panetta, director of the CIA, revealed there was a 25 minute blackout during which the live feed from cameras mounted on the helmets of the US special forces was cut off.
A photograph released by the White House appeared to show President Barack Obama and his aides in the situation room watching the action as it unfolded. In fact they had little knowledge of what was happening in the compound.
In an interview with PBS, Mr Panetta said: "Once those teams went into the compound I can tell you that there was a time period of almost 20 or 25 minutes where we really didn't know just exactly what was going on. And there were some very tense moments as we were waiting for information.
"We had some observation of the approach there, but we did not have direct flow of information as to the actual conduct of the operation itself as they were going through the compound."
Mr Panetta also told the network that the US Navy Seals, rather than Mr Obama, made the final decision to kill bin Laden.
He said: "The authority here was to kill bin Laden. And obviously, under the rules of engagement, if he had in fact thrown up his hands, surrendered and didn't appear to be representing any kind of threat, then they were to capture him. But they had full authority to kill him.
"To be frank, I don't think he had a lot of time to say anything. It was a firefight going up that compound. And by the time they got to the third floor and found bin Laden, I think it - this was all split-second action on the part of the Seals."
The President only knew the mission was successful after the Navy Seals commander heard the word “Geronimo” on the radio, a code word from commandos reporting that they had killed bin Laden.
The absence of footage of the raid has led to conflicting reports about what happened in the compound. According to Pakistani authorities one of bin Laden’s daughter’s, who was present during the raid, claimed that her father was captured alive before he was killed.....

      That really seemed stupid, anyway. Why not put in the fake OBL TV a screen-shot of "Girls Gone Wild in New Orleans" and be done with it.

      They have only everything to gain by denying that it was live. Someday, someone could request to see this or someone could leak it. But, if it "doesn't exist" very few people will know the truth.

      Couldn't the Obama White House come up with a more believable story, or at the very least gotten their lies straight and stuck to one story?

      I think what the WH hoped was that there would be a new distraction to take our attention away from Obama's Operation: "Manly-Man in Pakistan" before we started questioning the ridiculous Manly-Man story itself.

      Indeed, look at the Current board topics now...it was filled with topics about "Obama and his Manly-Man Cause" before and now...there are very few.

      Why? Because Americans have learned to be led around by the nose-hairs from horror to horror, tragedy to tragedy, terror to terror, with the goal being to more effectively control us by fear than GWBush/Cheney was able to do with their "Crayola Terrorist Alerts."

      Let's work to keep the discussion current by focusing on the destruction of the Opeartion: Manly-Man myth. It's really, really rotten what our government has done to us this time. They played us like gullible rubes, playing on the fears that have been actively promoted in us by our government since shortly after 9-11.

      Participate in the folders about Obama's Manly-Man in Pakistan experience, and the mythical legend Obama wished to create for himself...but was just too arrogant to spend enough time coming up with a good enough story to fool Americans beyond about--oh--4 hours.

      Of course they do. What they think of others is a direct reflection of
      what they are. To them it's Gunmmint of by and for the sheeple. One
      close look at the immage you provided should confirm those fools will
      believe anything TV feeds them. Because to them it's only another
      excuse to party down in party town. The very idea that their " leaders "
      (as seen in the article immage) are realy followers isn't anything they
      want to know about. To want to know about that, they'd first have to care.
      Barny Frank once said the American people always get the Government
      they want because it's a direct reflection of what the people themselves are.
      It's easier to live believing in lies than it is believing that we've been deceived.
      My first impression of the contents of the article immage was that it was
      the weekly meeting of Shitbags Anonymous. But then, only intelligent people

      Asking questions and calling out inconsistencies are the responsibility of all American citizens.

      I think we need to do a lot of both now, because our rights are being slowly taken from us, as Obama expands his own "rights" by simply arrogantly doing what he wants to do, no matter how many laws are against it, and no matter what the repercussions are for our country.

      UBL murdered 3000 non combatant U.S. citizens at his bidding and you think he was not a war criminal that should have been hunted down like the jackal he was?

      Killing him does not make Obummer a war criminal, but to the contrary, it is one of the few things he's done right so far, imo.

      You people keep saying Bin Laden killed 3000 people but the only avidence you have is the CIA said so and a couple of grainy Videos that may not even be Bin Laden saying he did it. I would hope if you are ever accused of a Capital offense they provide a little more proof before they execute you.
