Have you liked Dr. Helen Caldicott on Facebook yet? You should, she's an invaluable resource for nuclear information.
KB723, can you correct the spelling of her name when you get a chance? Thanks, Covelo Gibbs.

Did you miss the article a few days ago? Cancer has been cured by doctors in Canada and nobody cares because the process is too simple and cheap. Phoenix tears is another good alternative cure all, but also can't be kept from the people other than being illegal to produce.

Dr. Helen Caldicott has always been a hero of mine... easily 30 years back.
She once introduced me to a dear friend of hers, a survivor of the Hiroshima catastrophe, who had radiation burn scars from head to toe, and who lost everyone she knew and loved that fateful day.
KB723, I know you didn't know, but would you kindly re-spell her surname in your headline? She's so deserving of all positive credit coming her way. Thanks!

what i am curious about is the total amount of radiation that has leaked from the plant .I remember early on there was alot of numbers and what percentage in comparison to chernobyl. I would like to know what those numbers are now but can't find them.

Advising people not to eat irradiated food seems like a fair idea to me because we have no idea what it will do to you. I have an issue with nuclear physicists claiming it's no different from getting an x-ray for 2 reasons: x-rays expose you to radiation for a fraction of a second from outside of your body, not constantly from the inside, and you do not get x-rays 3 times a day, every day of your life.
That's all I have to bitch about. All together, a good post and worth looking into (not that knowing I'm going to die of cancer will keep me from dying of cancer). +^'dEdit: Though it may motivate me to down a tablespoon of grapeseed oil every day.

What's worse, dying fast or dying slow? I'd prefer the quick way. The people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki went both ways. With this disaster, you're just talking about a lot more who will eventually succumb to the fallout. In pure eventual numbers who will fall victim, I don't see how this can't be compared to what happened in August 1945. It's a fucking shame in both instances however way you want to slice it. It's about a catastrophic loss of human life. Tens of thousands in an act of war, potentially millions because an act of negligence. Who is it to split hairs?
