We will stop using gasoline, in it's entirety, today!

During the past year, Shell's former CEO John Hofmeister as well as politicians including Gov. Haley Barbour, R-Miss., have cited Obama administration energy policies for rising gas prices.

The mainstream media is telling you that gas prices are high exclusively (do they say anything else?) because of oil speculation fears due to middle east crisis. I say that is the small part.

We use 10,000 gallons of oil a second! It's not a travesty, it's how we've been able to move fast enough to come up with cures to cancer, money for foodstamps, money to fund art centers, public broadcasting. Yes, we need an alternative. Yes, it is now a very serious issue we are working towards. How can we forget?

That being said, the transition will take place. Though I really would like to put myself in John Homeister's shoes, all I can really identify with him is the fact he has to supply 13,000 (Shell, and no, I don't work for them, I don't even drive) gas stations with gas. It's like feeding your kids.

HOW will he supply them? Do you want him to? Do you eat food? Did you grow it in your yard? Did you use water? Could you have any of it without gas right now? We haven't quit using gas, and could you honestly say we should quit using gas today in it's entirety?

I think it will be in around ten years when we may have carbon-nano-tubes that can help harness the full spectrum of the sun's energy with improved solar cells, or if I go into my garage with a pile of magnets, and a dream - then not come out until I have a solution. You may find a skeleton covered with magnets ten years later, but at least I'm not just bitching!

Look, I can't wait to quit using gas, just for the fact that if my dog drinks it she'll die. I think Obama is a wolf in shepard's clothing, and everyone who thinks America, and it's accompanying "most generous" nation in the world stature, should quit using all fossil fuels (even natural gas?) immediately, are blind to the blood they will have on there hands. Would you drive your children into a lake if everything was going good? Well, who knows for sure about that one.

Don't support Obams, he will cut the nation's nose off to spite it's face.
