Funny how you never hear of that stuff in relation to the principles of Anthony Weiner or the "Mad Socialist" Lawrence Odonnell.

It's their MO. All they know is bullying and intimidation when they come up against someone who challenges their true ignorance. I went through something like that a few years ago on another ISP with a RW gang, down to them knowing where I lived and where my son went to school. And the internet bullying was vulgar and nasty. I reported it to the police and eventually moved. I can't tell her and her family what to do, but one thing to do is keep it out in the open.

Only scum threaten a child just because that child wants to debate an US Congresswoman. When I was in High School I debated my US Congressman. A real representative should be able to hold their own against a teenager in a debate. I still think my Congressman was wrong on the issue we debated, but he was definitely more articulate than I was and better able to speak to the TV cameras & audience.

Interestingly enough, when Myers turns 25 nine years from now, she will be qualified to run for Congress. If Bachmann's still there by then, and Myers runs and gets elected....

Unfortunately, now that the rapture didn't happen, Michelle Bachmann will need to think of another excuse for blowing off the debate.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if the threats, which are almost certainly coming from tea baggers, created a strong media response that pressured Bachmann to actually partake in a debate against Myers on the topic of the constitution?

Wouldn't that be something along the lines of, "One often meets their destiny on the road they chose to avoid it?"

I grew up in the shadow of the American Revolution. Every time I looked out my bedroom window I could look at the back of the Old North Church. All us kids were schooled in not only the American Revolution but the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and the one that gave us our freedom. The Declaration of Independence. I can tell you this, Bravo for calling out that idiot as she is as we call a person like her when I grew up, a Salami, ( Dummy, idiot) you get the picture.
So my advice to you is Don't be afraid, Stand tall but most importantly voice the truth. Let all know that you are as smart as you are and care much more about our country than alll those idiots combined. Help is always close to you and you have many friends here.

The voters of Michele Bachmanns district elected her as their Congressional Representative. This fact speaks louder to me than the lies, innuendoes and lack of knowledge this poor excuse for a politican constantly spews. This is one of the reasons we need to work to end this widespread polarization and incivility in American politics. The hate speech and name calling has become a cultural disease so widespread that a sixteen year old girl is receiving threats for simply trying to engage in the political process in a factual manner. We must work to change our culture or face civil war.

Perhaps my 11 year-old grandson would provide a more even match, and less of a threat to Bachmann's supporters.

When I read that challenge, I cracked up. I knew Bachmann wouldn't stand up to it, but threats against the girl? WHY WHY WHY are people so stupid? I have my theories, but that's a whole other thread.

Well, if she is receiving threats then she might be able to take comfort in the idea that those who are threatening her find her threatening.
