So nothing happened on May 21 2011. How about December 21 2012, the Mayan calendar doomsday date?May 21 2011 the Beginning of the End of the World? I don't think so. Bible prophecies discussion. Some Christian groups apparently believed "The Rapture" would occur on May 21 2011, where the Christians will go to heaven, leaving the nonbelievers on earth, with October 21 2011 the actual end of the world. How about the Mayan calendar date December 21 2012? I think there could be increasing earthquakes volcanoes and tsunami tidal waves leading up to December 2012, however.
