This is how it should be done. Now make him face his crimes against humanity and fit the punishment to the crime so he will suffer every day. Death is too good for some.

Thankgod they captured him instead of killing him. The man should face justice and the world for the crimes he committed then be hauled off to the dinkiest cell for the remainder of his life.

Who is Ratko Mladic? Four key questions answered.
Bosnian Serb military leader Ratko Mladic was arrested Thursday in Serbia, more than a decade after a warrant was issued for his arrest for his involvement in the Bosnian war of the 1990s. He was indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia for crimes against humanity, genocide, and war crimes in 1995 and the international arrest warrant soon followed.
- Ariel Zirulnick, Correspondent
What was his role in the Balkan Wars?
When the Bosnian Serb assembly voted to create a military in 1992, Mladic was appointed the commander. He was the second most powerful Bosnian Serb figure after Radovan Karadzic, the Bosnian Serb political leader. He was dismissed from his post by Karadzic in 1996. At the time of his arrest, Mladic was the most senior wanted official from the Bosnian wars (Slobodan Milosevic being dead and Karadzic already detained).
Prior to being appointed head of the Bosnian Serb Army, Mladic served as a top military official in the Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA). He began the four-year Siege of Sarajevo in 1992 while still with the JNA.
What is he accused of doing?
The International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia accused Mladic of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes for his involvement in the Srebrenica massacre of July 1995.
As commander of the Bosnian Serb Army, Mladic led the assault on the UN-designated safe zone of Srebrenica, where thousands of Bosnian Muslims had fled to escape attacks by Bosnian Serbs elsewhere in the country. After several days of laying siege to the town, Mladic and his forces entered, ordering about 25,000 women and children out and killing the vast majority of the Muslim men and older boys who remained – about 8,000 people, according to most reports.
The assault is considered the worst atrocity in Europe since World War II.
Where has he been hiding?
Mladic lived openly in Belgrade, Serbia, for several years after his indictment by the tribunal, only going on the run after former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic was arrested in 2001. Before Mr. Milosevic’s arrest, Mladic could be spotted dining out in restaurants and in other public places, including soccer matches.
Where he went after he went into hiding is unclear – the BBC reports that some thought he was hiding out in his wartime bunker near Sarajevo, others thought he was in Montenegro, and still others, including the tribunal’s chief prosecutor, thought he was in Belgrade. He was found and arrested in a village in northern Serbia, where he was living under a false name, according to the BBC.
What does this have to do with the European Union?
Mladic’s arrest happened the same day that European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton came to Serbia on a previously scheduled visit. The lack of arrest for Mladic and other war criminals has been a major obstacle to Serbia’s bid to join the EU (along with its refusal to recognize Kosovo). Whether this will speed up Serbia’s drawn-out effort to join the group is not yet clear.

What Ratko Mladic did in Srebrenica was genocide, not just a war crime and a crime against humanity.
