Poplawski says that the idea that black holes are the cosmic mothers of new universes is a natural consequence of a simple new assumption about the nature of spacetime. Poplawski points out that the standard derivation of general relativity takes no account of the intrinsic momentum of spin half particles. However there is another version of the theory, called the Einstein-Cartan-Kibble-Sciama theory of gravity, which does.

I have thought this was so . Like Alice down the black rabbit hole ... It makes a kind of sense to me . Thanks for this fascinating post Vierotchka .

Modern man might find this surprising but Mesoamerican culture has known this for thousands of years.
This is what 12/21/12 is all about. - 12 months ago

No shit.....
Big Bang was a black hole.
Religions don't call it the bottomless pit for nothing.

Emucratic:
Every galaxy has a black hole in its center - which "side" of the universe would each one suck stuff in and which "side" of the universe would each one spit it out, seeing as there are trillions of galaxies spread out all over the universe? What would the spitted-out "stuff" look like as it gets spat out and why have we not seen it anywhere?

it's so obvious for anyone familiar with theoretical physics ... S Hawkings voice synthesized this years ago but the idea was already simmering in my head

ive held this idea in my head for a while. the muliverse is represented as a block of swiss cheese or a bubble bath, spilling into itself

If this line of thinking interest you, check out the work of Nassim Haramein. He goes way more in depth into the nature of black holes than Hawking could ever dream and corroborates this Poplawski fellow's work. His work covers the geometry of the cosmic vacuum (10^-33cm), which just happens to be the 3D Flower of Life (64 metric tetrahedron). He also brings fractals and torsion (spin) into consideration when solving Einstein's Unified Field Equations, concluding that all material manifestations from the subatomic, and at least, to the galactic cluster, all are black holes emanating from the misnamed "quantum vacuum" through fractal evolutionary processed. His lectures are available on youtube. Here is his website: http://www.theresonanceproject.org/. His work is absolutely revolutionary and worth checking out.

An excerpt: "...torsion prevents the formation of singularities inside a black hole." He continues: " ...Universe as we see it today can be explained by a single theory of gravity without any additional assumptions about inflation." Occam's Razor to the rescue. Would love to get Hawking's view of this paper. In his 'The Universe in a Nutshell', Hawking wrote: "We now know it is impossible to have an infinite static model of the universe in which gravity is always attractive." Even so, Hawking points out, "...those who realized that Newton’s theory of gravity showed that the universe could not be static did not think to suggest that it might be expanding." It would appear that 'torsion' eliminates the problem of a 'static' universe while explaining the observed expansion without making 'assumptions' that just paper-over the problems.
