Wikileaks Cable Confirms North American Union Agenda

“The cable, released through the WikiLeaks website and apparently written Jan. 28, 2005, discusses some of the obstacles surrounding the merger of the economies of Canada, the United States and Mexico in a fashion similar to the European Union,” reports the National Post.
“An incremental and pragmatic package of tasks for a new North American Initiative (NAI) will likely gain the most support among Canadian policymakers,” the document said. “The economic payoff of the prospective North American initiative … is available, but its size and timing are unpredictable, so it should not be oversold.”
While serving to confirm the agenda to integrate the United States, Mexico and Canada into an EU-style political and monetary union, the Wikileaks cable will come as no surprise to those who watched Alex Jones’ 2006 documentary Endgame, in which precisely the same information was outlined, with particular focus on the Security and Prosperity Partnership, or SPP meetings.
The mission to create a North American Union was also discussed in September 2006 during a closed-door meeting of high-level government and business leaders in Banff, Canada.
Despite the manifestly provable factual basis of the matter, during the 2008 presidential election the establishment media attempted to smear Ron Paul by attributing the notion of a move towards a North American Union to him and then claiming it was a non-existent “conspiracy theory,” when the veracity of the issue was readily documented from the very start.
A Newsweek hit piece subsequently claimed that Ron Paul’s concerns over a NAFTA superhighway, a North American Union or a regional currency were completely baseless, and yet the newly leaked cable states U.S. diplomats were busy discussing a “move forward with continental integration, including a possible common currency, labour markets, international trade and the borders of the three countries,” as well as “easier access across the U.S. border,” more than six years ago.

This article is very questionable since the article from Info war connects to various blogs and makes no real direct connection to the so called wikileak source. This whole North American Union is a load of...well BS frankly since the so called sources are based off a few comments and a picture of a so called proposed currency which is actually from a coin printing company. This is all merely delusions based off a larger concept of this thing called a "New World Order" based off the imagination of Alex Jones. Infowars should NOT be considered a reliable source because of how it reports so called "news" since the sources either go to another blog or to a segment of a certain paragraph from a larger document without explaining the context of the entire document.

I agree with unimatrix0... Here's something more credible... So to say wikileaks is all that or to add them in the mix, is a bit silly, when this info was already shared by Lou Dobbs....

NAU is an interesting concept, but considering our current political/economic state we are in, who would want to buddy up with us? We are a pretty messed up hypocritical group of people, politically speaking. Considering our tendency to over take and dominate a country, would either of our neighbors want us involved in their decisions or economics? Congress would salivate at the bit thinking of a combined currency to exploit and misappropriate.
On the plus side, Chavez would piss his pantaloons if it happened?

Alex Jones does not own the provence of doubt, or the reality of dastardly deeds done by despots in government and finance. He is probably a CIA plant, at best he's a blowhard bully for the fearful fifth.
But I do not think it's wise to reflexively dismiss away reasonable doubt about the why's and who's of anything going on these days, it is as always - all about the money.
I agree with the posts here that say with NAFTA, The Chamber of Commerce, our corrupt 2 party system, etc. - we are already already headed there anyway.

While I think the joining the United States, Mexico, and Canada into one economic force would be great.(maybe we could give Alaska to Canada say in exchange for British Columbia) However you have got to take anything from info wars with a planet sized grain of salt, that site is filled with the worst kind of conspiracy theories and deliberate misinterpretation of events. You have to remember too the US economy is larger than both Canada and mexico combined by a factor of 7.So while this whole notion is amusing I must vote this down

Just remember that the last letter of the alphabet is pronounced "zed" and any word with "ou" in it sounds more like oooo. A napkin is a female personal device not to be seen at a dinner table. They call a napkin a "serve-y-ete". Remember to be polite and don't ever, ever say that you would "shoot" someone. If you feel the need to kill someone, always use kindness. Using these basics you might be able to pass as Canadian for a few days before being caught. If all else fails, claim that you're a "Newfee". They'll feel sorry for you and might let a slip up slide by. I learned these important tips growing up during my summers spent in Ontario years ago.

Whether or not this “union” goes through or not, the corporations are firmly in charge now. NAFTA and other Asian free trade agreements have assured the destruction of the American manufacturing sector and American manufacturing unions. That is why the current right-wing agenda is to finish it off with the destruction of the municipal unions. If they accomplish this we will have virtually the same employment conditions in both Mexico and the United States. The current immigration situation adds to this problem. It is very easy to downgrade work conditions here when available employment goes to those who are fearful of speaking up about abuses. Between that and the outsourcing of the manufacturing work, current and former union workers in the United States cannot maintain their previous standard of living. We all go down together, the race to the bottom. So, whether they get their EU type of alliance or not, we are already headed in that direction. http://sibob.org/wordpress/

This wikileaks cable while noteworthy is a bit outdated, the "great recession" the new viciousness the illegal immigration debate has taken, the mexican drug war killing thousands at the U.S/Mexican border.
The vulnerablity to the irresponsibility of american banking policies has since forced canada to institute a policy to diversify its portfolio, 80 percent of canada's trade is with the u.s, knowing that if it was not such a high number canada may not have suffered a recession at all has been a huge wake up call.
Also with canada having the smallest workforce of the 3 countries, the idea that sarah palin could have been vice president, and that republican economic policy could put canada in a position to carry both the u.s and mexico during times of economic hardship is just a unsellable idea to the canadian people.
The american people would definitely not want too take on the burdens of mexico as it is, its too overwhelming an idea to pass muster with the american public at present.
Personally i think if there were a union in the future it would not be anytime soon, possibly a lot of members on current wouldn't live to see it.
I think the most likely scenario is that a N.A.U end up not being a N.A.U at all but a "union of the americas" including select north, central, and south american nations.
I think u.s.a , canada, argentina, and brazil would be more likely for starters, and if chavez was ever disposed with its large oil deposits venezuela could easily be up for consideration the move would be even more attractive to the u.s govt because of chinas recent aggressive financial moves in south america and the caribbean.
Besides the european union has a multitude of problems, so while i do believe its on the minds of certain groups of people to have this done, i just don't see it feasible right now even to plan it for the long term.

This would be a NEOCON dream. Canada does not have enough people to overcome the radical right is this country and the Mexican can be intimidated into fear with the drug cartel. Money will flow to the corporations like never before.

"The mission to create a North American Union was also discussed in September 2006 during a closed-door meeting of high-level government and business leaders in Banff, Canada." This is an attack on the Union itself.
O.K. Does this constitute the "Unlawful Combination" mentioned in the Insurrection Act of 1807? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insurrection_Act It certainly seems to constitute conspiracy.
This and growing corporate control of our politicians which has resulted in re-writing and interpreting of our laws to turn rank bribery into allowable campaign financing and corporate person-hood. The Corporate media wants us to see a patriot when a costumed activist from the T-Party is shown. I see an anti-revolutionary Tory acting for Big Corpa. A supporter of colonial status for us all
