A Chinese teenager sold one of his kidneys to buy an iPad2, the BBC reports. The boy, identified as Xiao Zheng, told his mother that he sold his kidney after seeing an online advertisement offering cash for organ donations. The iPad2 went on sale in China last month.

    • That's capitalism, my friend. You sell what you have, (including your body parts, your body, or the bodies of your children,) to get what you want.
I'm sure the Economist magazine will have one of it's columnists write an opinion piece in favor of this later this week.
After all, if we can't farm the third world and the overpopulated earth, for replacement organs that puts many affluent folks at a disadvantage.

    • This is crazy. I hadn't know that this was legal anywhere. I only hope it was to save a life; if it wasn't it's despicable cause now their is a currency for flesh. It creates a market for this and people will do for money.
