With the media so hot on stuff like this.....I am over it already....move on!!! This is between him and his wife....end of story!! He was embarrassed....he came clean.....let's move on to important issues!!!!!!!!! It takes a big man to admit to his mistakes....he's one of the good guys and even they stumble once in awhile...yada yada yada!!! I think if ya can't keep your high tech stuff under control...ya better quit using it.....

OK, politicians need to come to terms with a few simple yet inescapable facts. First, as politician you are by default a public person. In the information age privacy is at a premium. As a public official privacy is a myth at best. Second, if you do dare to be human you can bet people will find out about it. When they do, you have two and ONLY two choices. You either embrace, nay - celebrate your humanity by proudly proclaiming not only did you do it but you did it well and you did it repeatedly. In the words of our contemporary poetic orators the Beastie Boys you find the nearest mic and say "I DID LIKE THIS, I DID LIKE THAT - I DID IT WITH A WIFFLE BALL BAT!" Then remind everyone you are an adult, did nothing that hasn't been done before and are going on about your business.

OR you chose the singularly most viable fabrication that best explains your transgression(s) and embrace that like diabetic embraces insulin. You stick that story like it was written on the back side of one of the tablets Moses was luggin' around. Seriously, how hard could this be?

I'd like to think the majority of us are decent people,come from decent backgrounds which sometimes makes us naive,We have a tendency to put folk on pedestals,Some of them pimp on this frailty.They're human and we all make mistakes.This too will pass withWeiner.So much shit happens so frequently,before we digest this someone will come up some more obnoxious stuff on another politician.Can't media work HARD on seriously bringing our troops home,provide jobs,health care,making the rich pay their fair share of taxes,get rid of Christy etc.I'd still vote for him,not Christ, Weiner.I used to be on a site just to meet older people and talk about standard stuff.There was one particuar individual that was quite proud of a penis,I guess that's what it was,always had it on display. It held no interest to me.I've been married twice,see one you've seen them all. I complained to the owners of the site to no avail,might ave been one of them I just left that site. No big thing.Found Current and quite comfortable with my new friends.Weiner will probably have to tip around his wife for a while but he'll survive.I was hoping Weiner would interupt Breitbarts gloating and give him the apology he was demanding by shoving his weiner in the orafice of his choice,preferrably his mouth.

I voted both of the Weiner posts down. Not that I don't appreciate the posts, but tired of this story being "so important".

He shouldn't resign, he just needs to try to become a better man and get forgiveness from his wife -- not us.

I don't really care what he does in his private life, but he should have just been straight with the public from the beginning and it wouldn't have been as bad of a hit to his trustworthiness. Why do guys in his position do something that will come back to haunt them eventually. Once something is out in cyberspace, it's for all to see. Just like when Spitzer was on the brink of busting the Wall Street criminals he screws up, Weiner does it right before he's set to take down Clarence Thomas. Nice going, Anthony.

I get pissed when people lie about what they post on the internet. I get that in the grand scheme of things it probably shouldn't matter that a politician wants to make a juvenile ass of himself and send shirtless pics or underwear shots of himself to women. But please, fess up instead of making people who would defend you look like jerks. I'm pissed that Weiner couldn't man-up and just say "yeah, i sent the damn pics so what" I don't really care what a politician or anyone else does in their bedroom or what they choose to post as long as it is consentual and involves willing adults. I am not your moral monitor and I don't give a shit. But if you are going to send shit out, then own it.

It's a bummer. But hey, if he did it, he's got to live with it.
