What do you want to see on Current TV?

Update: This month we asked you, our viewers and community, what you wanted to see on Current TV and Current.com.

Loads of you wanted to watch Countdown with Keith Olbermann, a new show airing only on Current TV in America, so as of now you can watch exclusive clips online!

Keep the feedback coming in and let us know whatever's on your mind, and we'll continue to do what we can to show we're listening. 

Unfortunately we can't upload the full-length show due to the agreements we have in place with the companies who provide Current TV in the US.

Current TV (Sky 183/Virgin 155) has a long history of making television shows that aren't only inspired by our audience, but made hand-in-hand with them as well.

From documentaries conceptualised and even directed by the filmmakers in our audience, to shows like What Did I Do Last Night? that our viewers are the stars of, listening to what the people who watch Current TV want to see on it has always been a huge part of the way we work.

And now we want to you from you. Seriously... you. You look amazing today, by the way.

What do you want to see more of (and, conversely, what kind of things are you not so keen on)? Which famous folk or upcoming presenters do you want to watch? What big issues and intelligent discussion drivers do you want us to tackle?

Current TV is commissioning! Current is currently in its final commissioning round of the year and specifically want to greenlight shows by mid-July which will TX this year. We are also looking for next year’s big hits. For more details, check out our commissioning page.

    • You ever had one of them days when you could rip someones head off and pee in their neck ?well thanks to Virgin and the demise of current on page 155 and every time i am flicking through the crap channels to find something interesting to inform or amuse me i pass by 155 every time and grrrrr what does it say ????"CHANNEL NO LONGER AVAILABLE" Do they like rubbing it in or what ? so every day i am reminded again and again that the bloody powers that be have the last say in our lives, Shame on the people responsible for taking this program of air and helping me to be ignorant to the plight of my fellow man "SHAME ON YOU"

      You may have a good laugh at this but to be honest i don't care,

      to the last 6 weeks i was like a zombie as regards the TV , you
      will
      know what i mean when i say i seldom watched it and it was mostly
      crap programs,d i would rather be on the internet having a laugh in
      the chat rooms, until l that is i was flicking through the TV to see
      what crap they had to offer for the rest of my day i am 62 and retired
      but not dead yet ( ????_ lol anyway i detract,I came across current TV
      and wondered what it was about, and WOW i have never been in a chat
      room on the internet since, i get up on a morning and have my cuppa
      and watch the main news then get onto current to see whats on the
      agenda for the day, Sad you may say but do i care ? nope, now i
      have found you and think it is the best thing since sliced bread, you
      go and shut down ????? come on i am in bits here, bloody tears
      running down my face, snot tissue wet, and i know i shouldn't blame
      you cause you woke me up to so much info that i was unaware of in this
      big world, but you have made me want so much more of it, and this i
      blame you for, you should not have been so good, and at midnight
      tonight tonight you will be depriving me of the best TV Channel i
      have seen in my life time so even though i hate you for this, i cant
      thank you enough for the sort time i have watched your program's and
      found them to be the best.( another tissue) i am serious when i say i
      am upset and that's a first for me

    • Why is Current TV ending on the 11th? I discovered this wonderful channel about two months ago and am devastated that such an informative TV channel is coming to an end?

    • I am so sad that Current is leaving the UK. :( I am from the US and this channel is almost the only tv I watch. I was so excited when I saw it here when I moved here last year! I found out today, y'all are leaving. :( I am SO SAD!!! :( Please stay in the UK!!!

    • Absolutely incandescent that your channel is being removed from SKY. I cannot tell you how cynical this makes me feel. 50 Documentaries to see before you die has been the most eye opening and thought provoking series I have ever had the good fortune to view on tv. Very sad

      EDIT: Just seen above where you mention problems with bringing Olbermann to the UK because of US agreements with TV providers.

      ...well - that's a shame. But OK...

    • I'd obviously very much like to see Olbermann and TYT on Current in the UK, so I could addnto you guys' ratings, instead of watching low resolution uploads someone put on YouTube. It makes no sense to me why you wouldn't show Olbermann in the UK; his Guardian column was very popular so there's clearly a market here for him, and I assume since you produce the show you own the rights, so what's the problem?!

In 2000 Al was elected president by a decisive vote by the American people even considering the stupidity of the "super" democrats who flushed their vote for Nadir down the toilet. The republicans put a lot of money into Nadir and Obama and it worked. Just like Hilary won the "popular" democratic vote and see what you get when elections are not decided by the people but by special interest oil, pharma and war that are controlling America now.       A) The new logo absolutely sucks.
      B) User generated content has been virtually destroyed from the channel. I loved hearing the words "You've been picked" - It was why I submitted content to current - Now I don't bother.

      I would like to see Current become what it was intended to be, issues and topics for and by the members.
      There are many 'groups' with hard hitting facts and issues that effect everyone's lives.

      Sustainable Agriculture , for one. JanforGore has complied an impressive array of issues/topics as well as many others. The members should be rewarded for their efforts in creating unique and interesting groups( no more swag anyways) Even if it were just a show highlighting different groups and members.

      Since Current has changed, there is little to no user created content. If Current tv IS a part of Current.com , I feel then the programs should reflect the members perspective , not just Kieth's or Vanguard's. Both are good but if you take a look around Current.com you may find there is much more information and alternate perspectives than is on either of those shows.

    • What I'd like to see? I just want to see Current TV ... In Italy, we can not see her anymore since yesterday ... I struggled because this does not happen .. But here we are still a few to fight. This is to remove the truth, the information .. People are uninformed ... and many do not know, many do not even have the desire to know.
      Despite the scandal in the British newspaper, I envy your condition!

      You don't want KO on the UK Current, because he would then be in control of news and y'all would be relegated to the backwaters of the Current website.

      I switched to Current UK--even though I originally moved to Current-US because KO was going to be on Current.

      But it's just toooo much KO, AND I don't like the way posters are now relegated to the back of the bus.

      Ironically, I recently switched from Current Yank to Current Brit because the Yank version no longer has News and it is a pain in the ass to try to find anything.

      Also, there is the never-ending HUGE face shots of KO when you sign on.

      And it's all KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO.

      Understand, I LOVE mango sorbet, but I can only eat so much of it and then I have to step away for awhile. Well, if you want to participate in the Current-Yank section (that's IF you can find any place to participate that isn't KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO), you have very little choice (message-board-wise) but ---boards related to "you know who."

      Also, the way Current made the change, it pissed off a lot of people and it's like there are tumbleweeds rolling through the Current-Yank section now. There's just very little discussion going on that isn't KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO.

      The News on the Yank section used to ROCK. Hundreds of posts. Cool and edgy topics.

      And, a second irony--the reason I moved to Current was because KO was going to be here! I'm a big fan of his (well, I THINK I am--right now I have this revulsion thing going on for him just because of the uber-saturation on Current-Yank of KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO KO).

      If you want KO, then just click on the U.S. flag in the upper right-hand corner and you won't be able to turn your head without running into him, or some of his worshippers (I used to be one--how embarassing).

      Look at the Current screen. Scroll all the way up to the top. In the upper right-hand corner you'll see a tiny little American flag. Click on it. Voila! You can then click on the two UK flags.

    • I really like a lot of it, bu years ago when I discovered it you said that "THE CURRENT WAS BIG ON TV AND BIGGER ONLINE" Today YOU changed that and the current online do not have the full Vanguard's documentaries as before and others also got lost.
      I really preferred you a lot more cutting edge online bigger than small as today Please put more documentaries of vanguard FULL online and make me proud of you.

    • It's a pity. Used to watch full episodes of Countdown on MSNBC - in fact it was the primary reason I became a devote - because MSN allows all content to be viewed on-line all over the world. Most of us who don't have time to sit at the TV every night rely on podcasts or at least video - iTunes? Please figure something out. We found a work around for Jon Stewart, it would be a shame to give up on Keith, just because you're behind the times, no?

    • OLBERMANN. Why won't UK Current TV carry Countdown? It's by far the biggest thing ever to happen to Current, and would boost viewing figures here too. Please put it on - since Olbermann left MSNBC life has been appreciably emptier.
