Cyclist is fined for not riding in the bike lane - gets revenge

We all know that cyclists don’t always respect the rules of the road, but who really does? As New Yorker Casey Neistat makes painfully clear in this video, it’s hard to respect the rules when the rules don’t respect you.

    • In my opinion, the bicyclist failed to learn his lesson. His entitlement to ride anywhere attitude will not only be the cause of future citations, but will be the cause of a serious accident.

But the point is that if cyclists are going to stay in the designated lanes, then other people need to stop ignoring those lanes and putting obstacles in the way. If bike lanes are blocked so often, then how can cyclists be punished for being forced to not use them? He's showing that the disregard people treat bike lanes with prevents cyclists from using them.
