In her Textbook of Americanism, GOP saint Ayn Rand wrote: “The basic principle of the United States of America is Individualism.”

    • No offense, but Ayn Rand was a literary hack. Her novel Atlas Shrugged, (a very clever title) is penultimate proof of her contrived literary skills. After that and The Fountainhead,
      nothing she wrote gave her nearly as much fame.

      She did for a while write non-fiction works...but no one I know could even name one of them.

      It may have been a highly popular book, but it was a literary mess.
